Since July 21, it is now mandatory to have a health pass to be able to practice the padel in structures with a capacity of more than 50 people.

Tightening of measures to be expected in early August

Since the President's speech on July 12, we have seen the extension of the health pass in France. So, as confirmed by the FFT, since July 21, the health pass is “Required to enter, circulate and play in all indoor areas of clubs, on indoor courts and in outdoor facilities. This principle applies as soon as the capacity is greater than 50 people (even if, at time T, the number of people present is less than 50). ” As can be seen from this Table of the Ministry of Sports, do so exempts users from wearing a mask.

On the other hand, in clubs where the capacity is less than 50 people, the health pass is not yet compulsory. In addition, employees and assimilated are not yet concerned. If the FFT document is to be believed, all this should change as soon as the law is enacted, which should take place in early August.

Finally, with regard to tournaments welcoming at least 50 participants per event, all those who wish to participate (public and players) must have a valid health pass.

What is a valid health pass?

To recall, a valid health pass consists of one of the following three proofs, accompanied by the 2D-DOC QR code:

  • a complete vaccination cycle (2 injections +7 days) /) Vaccination proof is only valid if it concerns vaccines recognized by the European Medicines Agency (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson)
  • a negative RT-PCR or antigen test of less than 48 hours
  • proof of recovery from COVID-19 of at least 11 days and less than 6 months

For the moment, these measures only concern adults, and from September, they should apply to all over 12 years.
