Pablo Ayma revealed the list of players called up for the French men's team training camp, which will be held at Padel Mas Club, in Perpignan from July 23 to 25. The objective? Form the final group of 8 players who will represent France during the European Championships 2025.
An expanded team, a place to win
The Spanish coach is banking on a extended list of 16 names, before making his final selection at the end of the training course. Among the players called up, pillars of the French team, familiar faces… but also some new faces who will have their first experience in blue.
Here is the full list:
- Bastien Blanqué
- Timeo Fonteny
- Manuel Vives
- Thomas Seux
- Adrien Maigret
- Maxime Forcin
- Jeremy Robert
- Philemon Raichman
- Dylan Guichard
- Johan Bergeron
- Maxime Joris
- Benjamin Tison
- Julien Seurin
- Yohan Boronad
- Tom Basso
- Arthur Hugounenq
Youth pushes, experience frames
Three names mark the arrival of a new generation : Thomas Seux (27 years old, 12th French), Tom Basso (18 years old, 25th French) and Jeremy Robert (17 years old, 20th French) will participate in their first internship in the French team. All three very active this season, they will have the opportunity to compete at the highest national level under the eye of the coach.
They will be supervised by experienced players, such as Adrien Maigret, who has already announced that this selection was his big goal of the season, or Johan Bergeron, Bastien Blanqué.
The remarkable return of Benjamin Tison
Benjamin Tison, former French number 1, retired a year ago, but who returned to competition this season alongside Maxime ForcinSince his return, Tison has had a string of victories: he is still undefeated on the French circuit in 2025, a result that did not escape the French staff.
Leygue forfeits, a place to be seized
Thomas Leygue, a pillar of the last campaigns, is not on the list. Injured in the ankle, he will not be able to play again by the end of the season. An absence of weight that potentially opens up a spot on the right side… and perhaps a first official selection for a newcomer.
No internship for girls (for now)
Please note: no women's training courses are planned at the moment, even if a list for the European Championships will be announced in the coming weeks.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
