The French are becoming more and more numerous on the professional circuit of padel : The World Padel Tour. We took advantage of the good news concerning Jérémy Scatena's 115th place, to take stock of the French troop mainly located in Barcelona and Madrid, 2 strongholds of the padel World.

First, let us note the courage of our players who set out on the adventure of padel professional in Spain. They did not necessarily speak the language, for some there were not many years of padel in the legs, finally for others, the idea was to leave your work behind you to fully live your passion.

Today, France has become a strong nation of padel international. And we owe it to them.

15 representatives in gentlemen

We will begin with the gentlemen. Indeed, a player and not least to launch this dynamic: Robin Haziza. History will remember that Robin was the first French player to professionalize and regularly participate in the WPT stages. Since others have followed suit.

We have 15 French representatives in the ranking of World Padel Tour, considered for the majority of players as the world ranking, even if the professional circuit is independent of the International Federation of Padel (FIP).

The number one French in the world ranking is Jérémy Scatena followed by Robin Haziza. If Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron no longer play together, they still have the same number of points following their joint season last year.

Max Moreau is 174e. We know it has great potential. We hope to see it at a better place at the end of the year.

Behind, it is more intermittents of the WPT, for the moment. They do very few tournaments on the World Padel Tour. But some like the vice-champions of France of padel, Benjamin Tison and Adrien Maigret, intend to invest much more on the professional circuit.

Note the 366th place in the world for Arnaud Di Pasquale. Obviously, this is a symbolic ranking since it is enough to have a wild card to participate in a challenger of the World Padel Tour and earn points to be referenced in the ranking of World Padel Tour.

  1. Jérémy Scatena: 115
  2. Robin Haziza: 138
  3. Bastien Blanqué: 152
  4. Johan Bergeron: 152
  5. Maxime Moreau: 174
  6. Adrien Maigret: 179
  7. Loïc The Panse: 252
  8. Benjamin Tison: 258
  9. Thomas Dulion: 366
  10. Arnaud Di Pasquale: 366
  11. Jean Thomas Peyrou: 396
  12. Julien Maigret: 396
  13. Maxime Bourgoin: 396
  14.  Yann Auradou: 396

Basically, 500 players have participated at least once in an Open / Challenger / Master of the World Padel Tour in gentlemen.

French 5 on the pro circuit

Among the ladies, it is first of all Laura Clergue who will be the first French woman to try the adventure on the professional circuit. Passionate and courageous, she decided to suspend her career as an engineer to devote herself 100% to padel in Spain. If today, we see more and more foreigners testing themselves on the pro circuit, Laura will have been a pioneer.

Alix Collombon was the second French to start on the pro circuit. And she lived a first year unreal by accessing the top 40 world end of the year. As she says so well: "Now it will have to confirm, and it is certainly even more complicated "

Godallier / Martin is the 100% French pair on the ladies circuit. We can not wait to see their evolution this year ...

And inevitably we end with one of the figures of padel French and European: Kristina Clément. We saw it again this weekend with the English Tia Norton, she is one of the players capable of securing a place in the France team.

The international ranking of our French:

  1. Alix Collombon: 37
  2. Laura Clergue: 64
  3. Lea Godallier: 171
  4. Melissa Martin: 171
  5. Krisina Clement: 206
