French U12 Championships: PACA – Occitanie, the final expected in Cabriès

The French Youth Championships 2026 They are holding their poster for the U12 Interleague final. This Monday, August 17th at 9am at WinWin Cabriès , the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur League will face the Occitanie Pyrénées-Méditerranée League for the title.

A final that will simply pit the first two seeds of the competition: Occitanie, seed 1, and PACA, seed 2. In total, 14 leagues are participating in these U12 Interleagues.

PACA secures its qualification in match 2

Facing Île-de-France, the PACA League did not wait for the decisive match to secure its ticket to the final.

The dynamics were different in the other semi-final between Occitanie and Hauts-de-France .

Le game 1 returned to Hauts-de-France with the victory of Nino Kuylle / Elie Beaurain face Baptiste Pontacq / Gaspard Escale , 6 / 3 7 / 6 .

How does the French Interleague U12 Championship work?

The U12 category has a special format. Unlike categories contested only in pairs, this one is a team championship representing the different French leagues .

This edition brings together 14 leagues in Cabriès. Each team is made up of boys and girls and is led by a captain. Wendy Barsotti governs Occitanie while Benjamin Bouganim is in charge of the PACA selection.

Each confrontation includes three matches contested in order M1, M2 then M3 Two matches involve the boys and the third the girls. One league must win at least two of the three matches to win his duel.

The format actually offered two different scenarios in the semi-finals: PACA had already secured its qualification after the victories of M1 and M2 , While Occitanie, trailing 1-0, had to win the M2 and then the M3 to overturn Hauts-de-France .

But their run to the semi-finals also shows that nothing should be taken for granted. PACA established a lead very early on before losing game 3, while Occitanie demonstrated its ability to come back after conceding the first point.
