In 2021, we will once again have the French youth championships. The finals will take place on September 18 and 19, 2021.

The Competition Guide specifies all these elements:

The 2021 French Inter-League Youth Championships consist of two events: a female event and a male event.

Each League can register a Young Girls team and / or a Young Boys team.

The French Championships take place in two phases:

    • a first phase in the form of interregions, on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 August 2021
    • a final phase bringing together the winning teams of the interregional phases, the weekend of September 18 and 19, 2021

The French team championships for young girls and young boys are open to players:

    • age categories U14, U16 and U18 of French nationality;
    • licensed to the FFT on behalf of the current sporting year and whose license date meets the deadline conditions set by the league
    • whose license certificate bears the words “competition authorized”.

All the players of the team must naturally be made redundant in the same league.

Please note: a player may not under any circumstances participate in an interregional phase on behalf of a League, then participate in the final phase on behalf of another League.

Each team is therefore made up of 3 pairs:

  • a pair of U14s (born in 2007 or later *)
  • a pair of U16s (born in 2005 or later)
  • a pair of U18s (born in 2003 or later)

(* reminder: ban for a young person born in 2011 or after to participate in an FFT competition)

For reasons of fairness, no substitute player may intervene during the competition; only 6 players will take part in the weekend matches.

Each team will be led by a captain (adult), appointed by the League.

The latter must be licensed to the FFT. It is not obligatory that the captain be licensed in the same league as his players. In addition, the captain's license is a “Web” or “Club” license, but this license does not have to be marked “competition authorized”.

An assistant captain can be designated by a league for a meeting, under the same conditions as the captain.
