For several years,  Ale Galán  et  Juan Lebrón  They formed one of the most dominant pairs in the history of modern padel. Four seasons at the top, a string of titles, and near-total domination of the circuit. Yet today, the Madrid native seems to have no doubt: his best partner is now called  Fede Chingotto .

During the presentation of his new Adidas racket for the  Reserve Cup Galán expressed his views in comments relayed by Ganar La RedAnd his answer was very clear when he was asked who the best partner of his career was:

“He’s the ideal partner. In addition to his level of play, he strengthens me.”

A strong statement when you know the career path of the world number 3.

 The Galán/Chingotto duo impresses

Since their association under the orders of  Jorge Martínez Galán and Chingotto seem to have found an almost perfect balance. The results speak for themselves: repeated finals appearances, impressive consistency, and now a real threat to the world number 1 ranking held by  Arturo Coello  et  Agustín Tapia .

Their demonstration during the  Buenos Aires P1 Their victory over the "Golden Boys" in the final further reinforced this impression. The Spanish-Argentine duo is probably going through its best period since its formation.

Galán, moreover, makes no secret of Chingotto's importance to his current level:

“If I’m able to play my best padel today, it’s thanks to him.”

These are very strong words coming from a player who has shared the track with several legends of the circuit.

A different trajectory in an unstable circuit

In modern padel, the splitting of pairs is becoming almost commonplace. Some partnerships only last a few tournaments before imploding. In contrast, Galán has always prioritized long-term projects.

Before Chingotto, the Madrid native had already been involved with several notable clubs:

  •  Juan Cruz Belluati
  •  Matí Díaz
  •  Juani Mieres
  •  Pablo Lima
  • then obviously  Juan Lebrón

His partnership with Lebrón, which began in 2020, will remain historic, marked by immense dominance on the circuit. But after the split with Lebrón, the world number 3 seems to have found an even stronger balance with Chingotto.

The Major of Rome in the crosshairs

After their title in Buenos Aires, Galán and Chingotto arrive on a roll towards the  Major of Rome The first major event of the season. A competition where they could get even closer to the world throne.

And given the level they've displayed in recent weeks, it's hard not to consider them today as the most in-form pair on the circuit.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
