Ale Galán  et  Fede Chingotto  continue to send a clear message at the start of this season.
Sacred to  Miami Premier Padel P1 The world number 2s have secured their  second title of the year by beating once again  Tapia / Coello  finally.

An important victory, because it confirms a trend: at the beginning of  2026 ,  Galan and Chingotto  seem to have turned a corner in relation to their major rivals.

A classic that's turning a little more in their favor

On paper, the overall balance sheet still largely favors the  Golden boys , with  21 wins to 11  in direct confrontations.

But since the start of the season, the dynamic has been a little different.

On the  three matches played in 2026 ,  Galan / Chingotto  have won  two people .
A strong signal for a pair that continues to progress and now seems much better equipped to regularly compete with the number 1s.

“We’re trying to give them a hard time.”

Guest in  El Partidazo de la COPE ,  Ale Galán  He himself mentioned this rivalry, in a rather light tone but with a fairly clear message.

"Lately, I get the feeling that people are getting a little tired of the classics... but we're trying to give them a run for their money."

This is a way of reminding everyone that if the finals keep happening, it's also because both pairs remain far ahead of the pack on the men's circuit.

 A strong rivalry… but a healthy one

Another interesting point in the Madrid player's speech: the relationship between the two duos.

Despite the intensity of their rivalry,  Gallant  insisted that the atmosphere between them remained very healthy.

"We are rivals, but we have a good relationship."

Before adding:

"We make each other better, we admire each other greatly."

With one small, humorously added detail:

"Well... there are no dinners together either."

A good summary of what this duel represents today: a lot of respect, a lot of sporting tension, but no particular animosity.

 Galán insists on continuity

But perhaps the most interesting part of his speech concerns a much broader subject: that of the  stability of pairs .

At a time when splits are happening very quickly on the circuit,  Gallant  stressed the importance of allowing time for projects.

"The pairs that have been together the longest are also the ones that appear in all the finals."

A strong message, especially when you consider how frequent partner changes have become as soon as results slow down a little.

The Galán/Chingotto project is gaining increasing importance

And naturally, this phrase resonates directly with his duo formed with  Fede Chingotto .

Since their marriage, the two men have experienced:

  • some really big moments
  • more complicated passages
  • critics
  • and sometimes a feeling of inferiority in the face of  Tapia / Coello

But they held on.

And today, this continuity is clearly starting to pay off.

The duo seems more mature, more tactically solid, more consistent in big matches.
And above all, he now gives the impression of having actually found solutions against the number 1 pair.

A real message sent to the top

Obviously, there is still a long way to go before we can talk about a real reversal in the standings.

But this start to the season shows at least one thing:
Galán and Chingotto are closer than ever.

And if the current trend continues, their bet on the  continuity  could very well end up bringing them very close to the throne.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
