At the end of their victory in Milan P1, Alejandro Galán wanted to duly salute the exceptional performance of its partner Federico Chingotto, the real driving force of the duo in this stunning final against Tapia and Coello.
"Chingo isn't the MVP of the game, he's the MVP of life. He's a genius. And when things were going badly, we had to tell each other everything to change our feelings a little and reverse the dynamics they always impose on us. I think that having opened our minds to look for solutions is a bit of our trademark: never giving up, even when the situation seems very complicated."
And there have been complicated situations. Led 6/2 After a one-sided first set, dominated in all areas, the two men seemed close to breaking. But that's when Chingotto took on his leadership role, the Argentinian gradually brought Galán back into the game.
Always positive, never downcast, he turned the tide by example: more aggressive, more precise, and mentally uncompromising. This change in attitude completely transformed the face of the match, until Historic 6/0 in the third set.
"For them, with everything they've won in recent seasons, it might be just another tournament. But for us, it's very special to win here. Italy is a special country for us: we won this year in Rome, and now in Milan."
This victory also illustrates the unique complicity that unites the two men. On and off the field, Galán and Chingotto exude mutual trustTheir understanding has become a real collective force.
