Barely time to savor that already, Alix Collombon dives back into the international spotlight. Just yesterday, the Lyonnaise offered herself alongside Léa Godallier a fifth consecutive title of French champion, her eighth in ten editions. A success that still has a special flavor, since Collombon confided that this edition could be her last participation in the French. Moved after her victory, she had emphasized the importance of this title, won against Carla Touly and Jessica Ginier.

Express return to the international circuit

Less than 24 hours later, Collombon is already expected in Düsseldorf for the Germany Premier Padel P2She finds her usual partner, the Spanish woman Araceli Martínez, with whom she plays the entire season on the international circuit. Their first match seems within their reach: they will face a local wild card, Kurz / Andrejski, this Tuesday, in the third rotation at 14:30 p.m. on court 3.

The Araujo / Ustero trap in the crosshairs

If they win, things would quickly get complicated for Collombon and Martínez. They would find themselves in the round of 4 with the fourth seed, Sofia Araújo and Andrea Ustero, a pair that doesn't suit them. Already crossed at Bordeaux P2, then more recently in eighth of the Paris Major, Collombon and Martínez had lost (6/2 6/3). But the objective is already clear: to get through this first round before moving on to the 8th.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
