To integrate foreign players into the ranking Padel FFT, the French Tennis Federation applies a specific assimilation grid based on their best ranking obtained on professional circuits such as the FIP or formerly the WPTThis grid ensures fairness in the national ranking while taking into account performances achieved at the international level.
How does assimilation work?
- Professional ranking : Foreign players are ranked according to their best ranking achieved on international circuits (FIP or WPT).
- Categorization by year : The reference years are divided into two periods:
- From year N (2025) to N-3 (2022) : An important assimilation for recent performances.
- From year N-4 (2021) to N-10 (2015) : Less assimilation for older performances.

A fair grid
This assimilation system ensures that the performances of foreign players on professional circuits are taken into account in a consistent manner in the FFT ranking, while maintaining balanced competitiveness in national competitions.
Assimilation is also planned for players ranked on the circuit A1 Padel. Here is the assimilation grid:

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
