Louise Bahurel and Fiona Ligi won the WinWin P2000 Padel Cabriès 2025 after a superb final played outdoors in front of a large crowd. For Fiona, it's a third title in P2000, while Louise finally picks up his first victory after three lost finals. A deserved accolade for a complementary duo who knew how to handle the pressure and put on an intense show on center court. A look back at their victory, their emotions and their analysis of the tournament in this exclusive interview.
Fiona Ligi, already well established in the ranking of P2000, savors this third victory with particular emotion:
Fiona Ligi :
“Obviously, I'm so happy. And sharing that with Bahu (editor's note: Louise Bahurel) was incredible. We gradually got into the match, just enough time to adapt to the style of play, the atmosphere, and the final on center court. There was pressure. Once we'd absorbed all that, we played well. My goal wasn't to shine at all costs; I'll leave it to Bahu; she knows how to do that very well! I wanted to maintain the pace, stabilize, and we managed to put everything we wanted into place.”
Louise Bahurel :
“I'm so happy, really so happy. We played really well, it was incredible. I got chills during the match! My mom must be crazy at home, my dad too… No, honestly, Fiona was fantastic and we had a blast.”
When it came to tension, the girls were no exception. Favorite On paper, the duo had to manage the pressure and the impressive atmosphere of this outdoor final.
Louise Bahurel :
“Yes, a little tense at the beginning. There were a lot of people, we're outdoors, and we didn't have an easy start to the tournament. We had to adapt to the conditions. But we put our feet up from the start to free ourselves up a little. And little by little, the stress went away. Honestly, I loved it. It was perhaps the final with the biggest crowd I've ever played. It's a pleasure!”
Already experienced with 12 end to his credit (including nine lost), Fiona emphasizes how this Cabriès tournament stands out from the crowd.
Fiona Ligi :
“Honestly, it was incredible. Firstly, because it's outdoors – and that's rare on a P2000. These are conditions I love. And the atmosphere was perhaps the best we've ever had on a P2000. There was plenty of space, and above all, lots of people. Brilliant!”
