A final that lived up to expectations, even if the start of the match almost suggested a one-sided affair. After their impressive semi-final against  Coirault / Raichman Boutel and Henrion could clearly have hoped to take down another top pair. But Cazaban and Rubio quickly imposed their rhythm.

A first round dominated by TS1

The first set was over quickly.  Cazaban / Rubio  They got their final off to a perfect start, solid in the rallies and cleaner in the crucial moments. On the other side,  Gautier Boutel  appeared below his usual level, with several unforced errors preventing the 4th seed from establishing his offensive game.

Result: the number 1 seed cruises to victory and takes the first set  6/2 .

Boutel/Henrion reignite the tie-break

The second set completely changed the scenario. After an initial break of  Cazaban / Rubio  à  3/2 It seemed the match could quickly turn around. But Boutel and Henrion showed a great ability to react.

When  Raphael Rubio  Serves for the match. The 4th seed refuses to give up, breaks back again, and pushes the set to a tie-break.

In this decisive game,  Boutel  regains its effectiveness  Henry  keeps up the pace, and the pair saves  two match points  before clinching the set. A real turning point, with a third set that came almost out of nowhere.

Cazaban/Rubio were more solid to finish

In the third set, the momentum seemed to shift to the side of  Boutel / Henrion , having come from behind and carried by their second set. But at  3/2 The Cazaban/Rubio pair knew how to put the pressure back on at the right time.

A decisive break, this time well maintained, allowed the number 1 seed to regain control and go for the title. A victory of sheer willpower for  Hugo Cazaban  et  Raphael Rubio who were able to digest the missed match points in the second set to move forward again.
