Le Wednesday 28 August, the FIP and Premier Padel announced the cancellation of the Sweden P2, which was to take place just after the Greenweez Paris Major, in order to lighten the schedule. A decision which must have undoubtedly disappointed more than one, in particular all the Aficionados Swedish.
However, if there are people who can “rejoice” at this decision of the FIP and Premier Padel, Those are the organizers of FIP Gold Lyon. Indeed, this tournament was supposed to take place simultaneously with the Sweden P2. The cancellation of the latter could have a more than positive effect for the FIP Gold Lyon.
Indeed, while some players would probably have preferred to register for a P2, which brings more points than a FIP Gold, we can expect a significant movement of players to Lyon now that the tournament has been cancelled. Several players from the top 100 can therefore be expected in Rhône-Alpes and, perhaps even the French number 1, local of the stage: Alix Collombon.

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
