The women's semi-finals  Italy Major 2026  are now known.  Paula Josemaría  et  Bea González  continue their incredible winning streak, while Ari Sánchez  et  Andrea Ustero  sent a strong message to the competition before their confrontation in the final four.

However, things were not easy for the No. 2 seeds.

Opposed to  Marta Ortega  et  Martina Calvo Paula Josemaría and Bea González seemed headed for an easy qualification after a controlled first set.  6/2 .

But the opposing reaction was immediate.

Carried by a  Martina Calvo  Particularly inspired, the Spanish pair completely reversed the dynamic of the match. More aggressive and more precise in their offensive choices, Calvo caused problems on several occasions, while Ortega managed to contain Bea González's attacks.

Result: a severe  6/2  in the second set which completely revived the quarter-final.

In a tense third set, the experience of the world number twos ultimately made the difference. Josemaría and González regained control at the right moment to close out the match.  6/2 2/6 6/3 .

A victory that allows them to string together an impressive run  22th consecutive success  on the circuit.

In the other quarter-final,  Ari Sánchez  et  Andrea Ustero  left no chance  Marta Barrera  et  Jimena velasco .

In fast conditions that perfectly favour the attacking qualities of the young Spanish left-hander, the pair delivered one of their most accomplished performances of the tournament.

Ustero consistently showcased his power while Ari Sánchez perfectly orchestrated the game.

The result is clear:  6 / 1 6 / 2  in just over an hour of play.

So far, the pair have steadily gained momentum in Rome and appear to be one of the most convincing teams in this edition.

A semi-final that promises

The second women's semi-final will therefore pit...  Paula Josemaría / Bea González  à  Ari Sánchez / Andrea Ustero .

On one hand, a pair that remains on  22 consecutive wins  and who continues to be there in important moments.

On the other hand, a duo that seems particularly comfortable in the Roman conditions and has practically never been put in difficulty since the start of the tournament.

Between the experience of some and the dynamism of others, this match promises to be one of the highlights of the week at the Foro Italico.

One thing is certain: you'll need to be at your best to secure a place in the final of the first  Major  of the season.
