The third day of  BNL Italy Major Premier Padel  delivered its first real thunderbolt in Rome. The pair formed by  Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo  eliminated the 3rd seeds  Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas while the Italian  Giulia Dal Pozzo  continues to write one of the most beautiful stories of the tournament in the women's draw.

González and Campagnolo take down the No. 3 seed

One week after their defeat against Stupaczuk and Yanguas during the  FIP Platinum Albania ,  Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo  They took their revenge in the most spectacular way. In only their second tournament together, the Spaniard and the Brazilian won in two sets.  6 / 4 7 / 6 thus confirming their qualification for the quarter-finals.

Momo González was visibly emotional as he concluded the match, aware of the importance of this victory against one of the most consistent pairs on the circuit this season.

A quarter-final reunion between Di Nenno and González

González and Campagnolo's victory now offers them a unique quarter-final. They will face...  Martin Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro , authors of a controlled success against  Edu Alonso and Aimar Goñi  in two sets ( 6 / 2 6 / 4 ).

Di Nenno, who until recently formed a pair with Momo González, will therefore cross paths with his former partner for a place in the final four.

Coello and Tapia unfold

World number 1  Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia  left no chance  David Gala and Enzo Jensen , winning by a resounding score of  6 / 1 6 / 1 .

They will find themselves in their part of the table  Javi Garrido and Lucas Bergamini , winners of Álex Ruiz and Juanlu Esbri  ( 6 / 1 6 / 3 ).

Chingotto and Galán pushed to their limits

In the lower half of the table,  Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán  had to work to overcome  Gonza Alfonso and Javi Barahona After winning the first set, the Spanish and Argentinians conceded the second before making the difference in the third:  6/3 4/6 6/4 .

They will face the surprise pair of  Pol Hernandez and Guille Collado , fallers of  Jairo Bautista and Íñigo Jofre  in three sets ( 7/6 3/6 6/2 ).

On their side,  Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger  They had to battle hard in a tight first set before dominating.  Tolito Aguirre and Alex Arroyo  ( 7 / 6 6 / 2 Their next opponent will be the duo  Coki Nieto / Jon Sanz who ruled out  Maxi Arce and Juan Tello  ( 6 / 2 6 / 4 ).

Giulia Dal Pozzo continues to thrill Italy

In the women's competition, the sensation of the tournament is always called  Giulia Dal Pozzo The Italian player, currently 50th in the FIP rankings, continues her remarkable journey alongside  Nuria Rodriguez .

In an intense match lasting nearly three hours, the two players won a particularly hard-fought duel against  Carolina Orsi and Patty Llaguno  :  6/4 0/6 7/6 .

Thanks to this success, Dal Pozzo became one of the attractions of this Rome edition and earned himself a prestigious quarter-final against  Claudia Fernández and Sofia Araújo .

The favorites are there

The main contenders for the title all secured their place in the quarter-finals without conceding a single set.

These include, in particular:
