Former Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, invests in a paddle club brand new in the Wavertree district. An investment of approximately 600 000 euros, carried by his son Marc Klopp and the structure Padel FC, which has just won the call for tenders launched by the town hall.

As he left the Reds after nearly nine successful years, Jürgen Klopp does not turn the page on LiverpoolQuite the opposite. With this new investment, the German coach continues to be active, this time outside of football.

The project plans to transform old abandoned tennis courts into a padel complex, on a plot of 1,5 hectares.

"Apart from football, it's the most fun sport I've ever played," he recently said.
“I discovered padel about five years ago and I’ve been completely hooked ever since.”

This isn't just a financial investment for the former Reds manager. Klopp is truly passionate about his work, to the point of recently launching a range of rackets with the Wilson brand.

Project Padel FC led by Marc Klopp has seduced the Liverpool City Council, which granted him a 25-year lease to operate the site. The call for projects was launched in 2023 and two applications were submitted in September. The Klopp father and son's application was accepted.

Already honored by the city in 2022 with the Freedom of the City distinction, Klopp will forever be a Red. Now head of the football division at RedBull, he oversees the sports projects of several clubs, including RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg or the New York Red Bulls.

Coincidence or not, RedBull is also increasingly investing in padel.
