In the first part of this test, we dissected the architecture common to the entire range  Carbon Dynamic   Twin Carbon Tube, Air Foam Frame, High Modulus Carbon 3K, Black EVA, Rough Surface and Dynamic Channel  before passing the  PR Control  scrutinized on the tracks of Cassis and Cap 7 Padel from Marseille.

Now let's turn to its two sister models: the Hybrid , conceived as the point of equilibrium between control and attack, and the  Power , designed for players who are looking for more leverage and offensive potential.

Two palas built around the same technological DNA, but which will show just how much  A different shape and a specific bridge architecture can change the behavior of the same set of materials. .

Kuikma PR Hybrid Carbon Dynamic: the ideal synthesis

La  PR Hybrid Carbon Dynamic  occupies the middle of the family.

Its shape  water drop  It naturally places the cursor between the maneuverability of the Control and the offensive potential of the Power. The sweet spot is slightly higher than the round one, which supports more offensive use without falling into the demands of a diamond.

On paper, it's the most versatile of the three. But once you get your hands on it, the difference goes far beyond a simple matter of geometry.

An alpine blue dress, a professional signature

Same visual DNA as the rest of the C range arbore 3K   apparent logo  iridescent  and meticulous technical details, but the Hybrid offers it in a  metallic alpine blue  Particularly bright. The color perfectly follows the lines of the frame and highlights the open shapes of the V-shaped heart with real dynamism.

But it is above all  Coki Nieto's signature  which immediately catches the eye in the upper part of the sieve.

A perfectly logical presence: the Spanish metronome is the designated ambassador of the  hybrid format  at Kuikma. So, is it just a commercial homage or a genuine tournament weapon? To be perfectly honest, I doubt we'll see him hit the circuit with this exact model anytime soon, given how attached pros are to their early-season setups. But I could be completely wrong! It's also quite possible he's already started to  tame it through training  to test its behavior in view of upcoming deadlines on the calendar.

In any case, this discreet yet not invisible claw brings this  soul supplement  which directly connects the pala to the requirement of the  high competition The result works perfectly:  sporty, modern and premium without ever falling into an overly flashy aesthetic.

The bridge: an open architecture to accompany the movement

On the Hybrid, the bridge clearly changes its philosophy.

The triangular opening and the shapes that rise towards the frame give the heart a more fluid and airy appearance than that of the Control.

It is obviously difficult to visually separate this geometry from its actual aerodynamic role without specific measurements, but its architecture clearly reflects a different philosophy:  greater fluidity in movement and a very gradual transition between the handle, the bridge and the sieve.

And this difference is noticeable.

This is probably the easiest paddle to understand for an all-around player.

From the very first shots, the Hybrid appears  more alive at hand  than the Control. The sieve repositions itself quickly and the assembly gives a  impression of freedom  exhilarating when the trading starts to accelerate.

En  baseline it retains enough  maneuverability for defense  without feeling like you're handling an overly demanding pala head. On a  window exit , a  defense at the end of its run  or a late change in intake, she  responds quickly .

Le  Dynamic Channel  takes on its full meaning here. The feeling of  fluidity in the air  It complements the short movements and constant readjustments that are part of everyday padel.

Upon impact, the  High Modulus Carbon 3K  remains very much present, with a  direct feedback but without giving the Hybrid the more radical and uncompromising edge that one might feel on the Power. That's precisely what makes it so appealing:

  • On a  petite The pala allows you to  easily control the output speed .
  • On a  tray it offers sufficient responsiveness for  accelerate without losing control .
  • On a  viper , one can engage the pala head more and  looking for heaviness  without feeling like you constantly have to tame the balance.

The player can therefore truly change their approach with just a few keystrokes:

  • A slow ball at the feet? We  delay .
  • A short ball? We  accelerated .
  • A high ball? We can immediately  switch to the offensive .

Moreover, in these  supported attack phases One subtle difference struck me compared to the Control: the Hybrid seemed to me  slightly more tolerant  et  a little more flexible , offering a  impact zone slightly more lenient  and a hint of  additional ball exit . It is obviously  of the subtle order , but the feeling is definitely there, especially when you hit  full power  : where the Control delivers a  its particularly dry sound  and locked, the Hybrid's sound feedback is revealed  a little rounder , reflecting this tiny additional mechanical flexibility.

It's just as interesting at  filet The Hybrid has enough  quick  to support rapid reactions, while maintaining a  power reserve  when it's necessary to close an angle, accelerate a volley, or add more  weight in the ball .

And that's where the term  versatile  It makes perfect sense: she doesn't seek to excel in a single situation. Rather, she tries to remain consistent when the game shifts from defense to offense in a matter of seconds.

The Hybrid doesn't choose your game:  She leaves you the choice .

Kuikma PR Power Carbon Dynamic: when diamond takes center stage

With the  PR Power Carbon Dynamic Kuikma is clearly changing his philosophy.

La  diamond shape  This raises the center of gravity and promotes a higher point of impact on the sieve. The drilling pattern also follows this logic, with a preferred zone that is also shifted upwards.

The goal is clear: to offer more  leverage and offensive potential .

But again, form doesn't tell the whole story. The bridge itself also adopts a much more structured architecture.

A dress of incandescent lava red

Here, there's no false modesty: the  Power  His temperament is immediately apparent.

metallic lava red , deep and brilliant, envelops the frame and bridge and creates a particularly strong contrast with the  apparent black 3K carbon fiber .

The color perfectly matches its philosophy: more aggressive, more spectacular, more offensively oriented.

The result is almost reminiscent of a  racing car  : a lot of visual presence, a very strong identity and the feeling that you'll have to step on the gas.

And that's exactly what you expect from a branded paddle.  Power .

The bridge: a more vertical architecture

On the Power, the heart features a more taut geometry, marked by a  vertical central rib  which gives the whole thing an immediately more rigid and compact impression.

It would be excessive to claim that it alone eliminates all longitudinal deformation, but its presence clearly contributes to the structural identity of the model.

And when you get out on the ground, this difference becomes quite easy to perceive.

 Stake

The first difference does not necessarily lie in raw power, but in the way the paddle  invites you to play .

The Power naturally encourages you to reach for the ball higher and accelerate more.

On an offensive volley, it allows you to load the ball more. On a  tray  or an  viper The position of the sieve promotes a higher and more committed strike.

But it's obviously about the  smashs  that his philosophy becomes most evident.

When the player actually engages the arm, the combination between  Diamond shape, High Modulus Carbon 3K and Black EVA  gives a particularly direct answer.

The ball travels quickly and the contact remains very crisp. It gives that feeling where the paddle seems to instantly connect the player's movement to the ball, with very little intermediary.

Touch is more  dry and firm  than on the Hybrid, and that is precisely what some attackers will be looking for.

The sound upon impact also contributes to this impression of density and solidity.

But the downside is obvious:  The diamond demands more from the player .

The higher sweet spot requires better positioning and more precise striking. On shots taken late or slightly off-center, the consequences of poor positioning are more noticeable.

A technically sound player will be able to exploit the added leverage and acceleration capability of the paddle.

Conversely, a player less comfortable with head balances may find Power more demanding, especially on defense.

Because it is obviously in this phase that the difference with the Control becomes most visible.

The Power is far from unmanageable, thanks in particular to the work done on aerodynamics and the range's low weight. However, it doesn't possess the same natural ease in reacting in all situations.

She demands more from the player.

But when given more,  she also knows how to make more .

On a high ball, an aggressive volley or a fully committed smash, it is the pala that offers the greatest offensive potential of the three.

The Power is therefore not simply a paddle that hits hard and is ultra stable: it is a paddle that rewards acceleration.

A true continuity: when geometry tells the story

After stringing together shots on the track, the real success of this range  Carbon Dynamic  is obvious:  its overall coherence Far from wanting to design artificially opposed models to fill marketing boxes, Kuikma has retained a  a true mechanical common thread .

These rackets should not be seen as completely unrelated products, but rather as different interpretations of a  same technological platform Racket in hand, the player immediately recognizes a familiar signature:  the crisp, dry feel of 3K High Modulus carbon the peripheral rigidity of the frame and the crisp response of the foam  Black EVA Technology lays the common foundation;  geometry is what tells the story. .

By playing precisely on  the sieve mold ,  the drilling plan ,  the height of the sweet spot  et  the specific architecture of the bridge The brand is simply shifting the focus of the game:

  • La  Control  locks down the back of the track, simplifies the defense and favors a  surgical precision .
  • The  Hybrid  establishes itself as the chameleon of the group, offering a total  freedom to change pace  between delaying and counter-attacking.
  • La  Power  demands more commitment and arm speed, but makes every calorie expended worthwhile as soon as it comes to  use the lever to accelerate heavily .

This is precisely what makes this collection so strong:  One can switch from one model to another without ever feeling like one is entering a different world or losing one's bearings. . The same technical soul, expressed with remarkable tactical precision.

 Decathlon emerges from the shadows

Finally, there is one element that deserves closer attention: the name  Decathlon  now appears directly on the edge of these new paddles.

This detail may seem anecdotal, but it tells us something about Kuikma's evolution.

In previous generations, the Kuikma brand seemed to live more with its own identity, with an obvious desire to establish itself as a full-fledged player in the padel market.

With this new generation, Decathlon seems to want to do the opposite.  fully embrace his signature .

The message is quite clear: the retailer is no longer solely focused on showcasing its specialist brands. It also wants to demonstrate its ability to  design, develop and evolve technical products .

The brand's new symbol,  the Orbit , moreover, accompanies this evolution.

Present directly on the pala, it becomes almost a visual signature of this new identity.

And this Carbon Dynamic range is probably one of the best platforms to showcase this ambition: it's hard to look at these three rackets without immediately seeing that Decathlon now wants to play in the arena of...  technology and performance , not just on the issue of accessibility.

 A word about getting started

One practical detail worth mentioning about all three models:  the original handle is rather thin .

Its length remains very standard and poses no problem for a classic one-handed grip. It also allows for the possibility of a  two-handed backhand , although players used to particularly long handles would probably have appreciated a few extra millimeters.

On the other hand, for players with large hands or who prefer a more substantial grip to better lock in their shots, going through a  overgrip Having two, or even two depending on preferences, seems almost essential to me.

This is not a deal-breaker, but simply a parameter to consider before choosing your configuration.

The sliding wrist strap remains very classic in its design.  but nevertheless benefits from the Custom Strap system The idea? To allow each player to remove, change, wash, and personalize their racket strap in seconds, without tools. No more worn, faded, or smelly straps that you drag around for months because you can't replace them.  a true reflex of hygiene and common sense, which changes daily life.

Verdict: the maturity of a range with its face uncovered

After more than a month of running these frames on the track, it's primarily a feeling of  technical maturity  and  overall consistency  which is essential. Far from succumbing to the easy route of a simple paint job applied to three molds, Kuikma brilliantly proves that a racket is never simply the sum of its parts. Technology lays the foundation; geometry tells the story.

Sharing the same mechanical heart, the crisp touch of  High Modulus Carbon Fiber the stability of the frame and the firmness of the foam  Black EVA , these three models, flashed at  less than 360 g They shift the focus of the game through the sheer magic of their silhouette, their drilling pattern, and their custom-designed bridge. The brand doesn't try to dictate how you play; it offers you different ways to approach the track:

  •  The Control locks down the baseline and prioritizes surgical precision: it gives you time.
  •  The Hybrid establishes itself as the chameleon of tempo, juggling between timing and counter-attack: it gives you options.
  •  The Power rewards physical commitment and lets its inertia do the talking in the head: it gives you leverage.

This is precisely what makes this collection so strong:  One can switch from one reference to another without ever feeling like one is entering a different world or losing one's bearings. .

But beyond the gameplay, this range marks a major symbolic turning point. By proudly displaying its name and its new  Orbit  On the edge, the Lille-based brand is no longer hiding. Decathlon asserts its identity, Kuikma proves its cutting-edge engineering, and the result demonstrates that they can now look the historical padel brands straight in the eye, without any inferiority complex.

This is where the killer argument comes in:  offered at a price of €109 These three models make a very strong impression. Considering the high-end components used, the level of finish, and the overall maturity of their on-track performance,  The value for money is simply unbeatable. Make no mistake: these are not just "good deals for beginners," they are  excellent padel rackets , sophisticated, high-performing and immediately competitive against models sold at two to three times the price by the competition.

My verdict after these weeks of intensive testing?  The crash test was passed with flying colors.  An intelligent, stylish and devilishly effective collection, which proves in the most beautiful way that the true personality of a paddle is forged well before the varnish, where engineering takes precedence over marketing.

A huge thank you to the teams at  Decathlon  and especially to  Juane Ortega Beas  (Marketing & Communication) for their continued trust, responsiveness, and for making this long-term test possible by providing me with all the models in the range  Carbon Dynamic .

And the adventure doesn't end there! See you very soon for the next feature: we'll be leaving the sieves behind to take a close look at footwork. The complete test of the brand new shoes.  PS Stab,  dissected from every angle!
