From April 21 to 27, 2025, Lanzarote becomes the nerve center of international padel by hosting the fourth stage of the A1 circuit PadelMore than 200 players from all over the world will compete on the courts set up in Marina Lanzarote, with qualifying rounds scheduled for April 18-20 at the Sports Club Puerto Calero.
Created in 2020 by Monegasque entrepreneur Fabrice Pastor, the A1 circuit Padel has quickly gained notoriety, now spanning four continents and including iconic cities such as Seville, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Las Vegas, and Buenos Aires. Expected headliners include the duo of Malaga's José Solano and Paraguay's Martín Abud, recently crowned champions at the Córdoba stage.
Juan Monzón, sports advisor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, is delighted with this event:
“Lanzarote will once again become the epicenter of world padel, with an A1 Open Padel which will bring together some of the world's best athletes in the Bay of Arrecife.”
With an already impressive level of play from the opening rounds, and playing conditions made technical by the Atlantic winds, everything points to a spectacular tournament. An ideal showcase for the international expansion of padel, in a place where sport, nature, and passion come together.
