New  gold medal  for the French delegation during the  European Championships of padel Seniors+ , with the victory of  Marie Lefèvre and Julie Pecastaing  in the category  + 40 years .

Not really a surprise as the  seed n ° 1  of the tournament dominated the competition. The French duo dominated the previous rounds before delivering a  more contested final  against the Belgian pair  Elke Clijsters / Leonie Geukens , she too has had a smooth journey.

The French finally win  3/6 6/3 6/4  and thus offer France a  fifth medal  in the five women's categories, including  four gold . A remarkable performance which confirms the place of the  France as the second largest European nation , just behind Spain, absent from the Open event.

For the little story,  Elke Clijsters  is none other than the  sister of Kim Clijsters , former Belgian tennis champion.

La  France  so leaves Spain with  full of medals  and an exceptional dynamic for French women's padel.
