More than  20 000 spectators  attended the tournament throughout the week for the grand premiere of the  London Premier Padel P1  UK.

 Martina Calvo / Claudia Fernández  in the ladies and  Arturo Coello / Agustín Tapia  The men became the first champions in the tournament's history.

Only at  18 years Martina Calvo also makes history by becoming  the youngest player to win a tournament Premier Padel .

A successful first for Premier Padel in London

London Premier Padel P1 came to a close this Sunday after a historic week for British padel.

Promoted and organized by  Villages The tournament marked a new stage in the development of padel in the United Kingdom and, according to the organizers,  one of the most successful launches of a new stage in the calendar Premier Padel .

For its first appearance in the British capital, the circuit attracted  over 20,000 people throughout the week  at the Olympia.

Martina Calvo makes history at 18

Associated with  Claudia Fernández Martina Calvo won her first title on the circuit at just 18 years old, thus becoming  the youngest winner in history Premier Padel .

After her victory, the Spaniard savored this first trophy:

“Winning my first tournament is something I’ve always dreamed of. If I had played many finals without managing to win one, I would have started to worry a lot! We are very happy.”

A victory all the more remarkable as it was only the  second tournament played together by Calvo and Fernández .

Beyond the sporting results, the organizers are particularly pleased with the large turnout for this British premiere.

Sela worked alongside  Premier Padel and the LTA  with the aim of establishing London as a new major destination on the international calendar.

It feels like the beginning of something much bigger for padel in the UK.”

Four tracks and a true tournament experience

For this first edition, the London Olympia  has been transformed into a veritable arena dedicated to padel.

Viewers were able to follow the matches on  four tracks but also enjoy a fan village, various activities offered by partners and several entertainment events organized throughout the week.

Finals day was notably marked by a  Zak Abel's performance on Centre Court .

Coello captivated by the London premiere

Winner of the tournament with  Agustín Tapia the world number 1  Arturo Coello  He too enjoyed this first British experience:

"It was a superb experience. It's the first tournament" Premier Padel "In the UK, you can really feel the enthusiasm. It's fantastic to see the sport continue to grow in new markets."

The Spaniard also highlighted the quality of the site and the atmosphere:

“I find the venue truly impressive. The atmosphere inside is incredible. It’s a special place to play and a fantastic stage for a tournament like this. Seeing so many fans here from the very first days is amazing. I hope this is just the beginning of an even bigger future for padel in the UK.”

London succeeds in its first

With  more than 20 spectators , a remarkable atmosphere at the Olympia and two first pairs inscribed on the winners' list, the  London Premier Padel P1  It therefore closes its first edition on a positive note.

 Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo  will remain the tournament's first champions, with Calvo also setting a record for precocity, while Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia  add their names to the men's list of winners.

A first step that could now allow  London and the United Kingdom to establish themselves permanently on the international professional padel map .

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
