As its fifth edition approaches, scheduled from April 19 to 26 at the Gare Maritime of Tour & Taxis, the Lotto Brussels Premier Padel P2 by CBC is about to experience a big moment. The organization has officially announced the presence of Alejandra Salazar, a major figure in world padel, who will play one of her last tournaments in the Belgian capital.
The Brussels event, one of 25 stages on the professional circuit calendar, is co-organized by Vincent Laureyssens, Nicolas Lhoist and Tennis en Padel Flanders, with the support of local institutions and numerous partners. But beyond the sporting event, it is the emotional dimension that will mark this 2026 edition.
An extraordinary career
At 40 years old, the Spaniard still occupies 7th place in the world and remains, to this day, the most decorated player in the history of women's padel.
His record illustrates a rare dominance over more than a decade:
- 7 world championship titles (2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2024), a record among women
- 52 titles on the world circuit
- World number 1 on several occasions (2009, 2016, 2021, 2022)
Alejandra Salazar has made her mark alongside top-tier partners, including Marta Marrero, Ariana Sánchez, Gemma Triay, and Carolina Navarro. Her adaptability and game awareness have left a lasting impression on the circuit.

A trajectory marked by resilience
Beyond the titles, her career has also been marked by trials. Knee and elbow injuries, as well as heart problems: all obstacles that she overcame to return to the highest level.
This consistency at the top, despite the difficulties, has shaped her image as an exemplary player, respected for her regularity, tactical intelligence and attitude on and off the slopes.
A tribute expected in Brussels
The arrival of Alejandra Salazar in Brussels will offer the public a rare opportunity: to witness the last matches of a player who has profoundly marked the history of padel.
To accompany this tribute, a snowshoeing Bullpadel collector A limited-edition book, retracing her greatest achievements, will be available. Spectators will also have the opportunity to have this item autographed by the Spanish player.
His entry into the competition is scheduled for April 21 or 22 at the Tour & Taxis Maritime Station.

The organizers pay tribute to a legend
Vincent Laureyssens, Executive President of the tournament, emphasizes the emotion surrounding this announcement:
“Saying goodbye to Alejandra, whom I have admired for eight years, is incredibly emotional. She embodies class and a playing efficiency that has inspired many players. Despite injuries, she has always returned to the highest level, without ever complaining.”
For his part, Nicolas Lhoist, CEO of LBPP and Executive Chairman of Tero Group, emphasizes the significance of this event:
“Welcoming Alejandra Salazar for her final matches is an honor. Her career is an example of excellence and resilience. The Brussels public will have the opportunity to pay her a tribute worthy of her career.”
A unique moment in the tournament's history
With Alejandra Salazar's farewell tour, this fifth edition of Lotto Brussels Premier Padel P2 is already shaping up to be a special event on the calendar. Beyond the sporting results, it will leave a mark linked to the end of the career of a player who has left her mark on the sport through her longevity and high standards.
