On the occasion of Paris Major 2025, Padel Magazine has met Lucas Terminet, a young 13-year-old player. Passionate about padel since the age of 7, he is part of this generation of young French talents who already dream of competing against the best foreigners.
A passion born in the family
It was while watching his parents play that Lucas discovered padel. "My parents started with my tennis coach. When I saw them play, I loved it. I wanted to try it and I was hooked right away.", he explains.
The young man from the Paris region quickly got seriously involved. “I started at 7 years old. Today, I train three times a week at Padel 95 in Pontoise, with Adrien Viard and Quentin Brunet. I also play on Saturdays with the club's second team.
Already national competitions
Lucas has already participated in the French Youth Championships with the Île-de-France leagueIn U16, he discovered a very high level: "We finished 5th as a team. Individually, in the U16s, we won in the first round before falling to the second seeds. It was too strong, but we finished 16th out of 24. Not bad for a first time."
A combative player, he sometimes even shares the track with his father: "We're pretty much at the same level. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. We've already reached a final together in P100."

A first major international meeting
Next goal: the FIP Promises of Paris, where Lucas will be aligned in U14 with Léon Benveniste. "I'd like to play against foreigners, especially the Spanish, to see the level. And then show them that the French aren't bad."
A first major experience for this young player, who embodies the future of French padel and already shows promising determination.
Franck Binisti discovered padel at the Club des Pyramides in 2009 in the Paris region. Since then, padel has been part of his life. You often see him touring France to cover major French padel events.
