A few days before the French Youth Championships, two of the greatest hopes of French padel are enjoying an international break. Lucas Pillon (17 years) and Olivier Guy de Chamisso (16 years old) line up this week at the FIP Bronze of Vilamoura, for their first association on the FIP circuit.

First association on the international circuit

Although the two players have not yet had any points in the FIP rankings, they each have their first international experience: Pillon played in Bordeaux's P2 with Benjamin Grue, while Guy de Chamisso had participated in the FIP Silver of Bandol with Pierre Perez Le Tiec. Two first attempts which ended in defeats in the first round against much more experienced opponents.

An ideal start in Portugal

For their first outing together, the young Frenchmen got their tournament off to a perfect start yesterday by outclassing the Argentinian pair. Tossici/Estrella on the score of 6 / 1 6 / 1A masterful success which opens the doors to the second round of qualifying, where they will face Bohou Zhang et Marc Cordoba around 14:30 p.m. The goal: to secure a second victory and continue the adventure in Portugal.

In the spotlight: the French Youth Championships

This Bronze FIP also constitutes a ideal preparation with a view to French Youth Championships which will take place next week in Aix-en-Provence. Pillon and Guy de Chamisso will participate in the category U18 with the ambition of confirming their potential.

The two young players won the Master TNJ U18 by beating Basso/Robert in the final, Master in which they did not participate Timéo Fonteny and Yoan Boronad who will truly be the team to beat in the U18 category next week in Aix-en-Provence.
