There was no miracle for Léa Godallier and Giorgia Marchetti in their round of 8 match against Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez. The Franco-Italian pair lost in two sets: 7/5 6/0 in just over an hour of play.

The ogre Fernandez / Triay got the better of the last Frenchwoman still in the running in this Madrid P1 and her partner. However, the copy given during the first set by Godallier / Marchetti was quite convincing, despite some mistakes which came to taint the game. The first round was particularly tight but was finally concluded by the seed 3.

The second set was much quicker. Well established in their game, Triay and Fernandez no longer made many mistakes and played accurately on each point. The games then followed one another too quickly for Léa Godallier and Giorgia Marchetti to find a solution.

There are therefore no more French players in this Madrid P1.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
