We are fast approaching the Madrid P1 who will officially sign return to competition for all the best players in the world. If some have already returned to the slopes, as during the Pro Padel League, many will return to the Spanish capital.
A few days before the resumption, let's see which French people will travel to Spain.
Male table
We will find three French players – at a minimum – during the Madrid P1 qualifiers which will begin on Saturday August 31. Among these players, Thomas Leygue, obviously. The French number 1 will be accompanied by the Spaniard Pedro Vera (113).
We will also find Dylan Guichard, associated with Clément Geens (102). This new pair will make its debut on the international scene.
Finally, Jerome Inzerillo will also be there, still alongside Emiliano Martin Iriart (100).
There is a chance to have two additional players qualify: Johan Bergeron et Bastien Blanqué. Registered together in Madrid, they are currently third on the waiting list. We could therefore also find these two players on the Madrid slopes.
Female table
Two French women will also be in Madrid and have already qualified for the final draw.
We will find Alix Collombon. The Lyonnaise will make her debut alongside her brand new partner, Araceli Martinez. They will form the 15th pair of the tournament. Léa Godallier will also be present, always associated with Giorgia Marchetti. For their part, they are the 26th pair in the ranking.
Carla Toully et Elodie Invernon are, for their part, on the waiting list. In the same way as the Bergeron / Blanqué pair, we can hope to see them land in the provided !
It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
