The most anticipated quarter-final of  Premier Padel Malaga P1  lived up to all its promises. At the end of an exceptional confrontation of  3:01 ,  Marta Ortega  et  Martina Calvo  (TS6) eventually brought down  Claudia Fernández  et  Sofia Araújo  (TS4) on the score of  3/6 6/4 7/6 (7-2) .

An encounter with an incredible scenario, all the more special as it pitted four players against each other who will exchange partners as soon as the tournament ends.  Ortega will meet up with Araújo , While  Calvo will team up with Claudia Fernández A true final dance… won by Ortega and Calvo.

 Fernández and Araújo are very close to concluding 

The match began with the fourth seed on the front foot. Thanks to an early break,  Fernández and Araújo  They control the first set and win.  6/3 .

The second act seems to follow the same path. The soon-to-be ex-partners quickly break up and take control.  4/3 They even get a ball to lead  5/3 , which represents a huge step towards the semi-finals.

But they let their chance slip away.

Ortega and Calvo broke back immediately before winning three consecutive games to completely turn the match around and take the set.  6/4 .

 A one-sided tie-break 

The third set offered an almost identical scenario. Fernández and Araújo once again took the lead with an early break. But, as in the previous set, they failed to maintain their advantage and were pegged back.  4/3 .

Both teams then held their serves perfectly until the tie-break.

And this time,  Martina Calvo  takes complete control. The young Spaniard raises her level even further, racking up winners and dismantling her opponent's defense. Ortega perfectly complements her, and the two players dominate the tiebreak.  7-2 .

 A final dance that ends differently 

This victory allows  Marta Ortega  et  Martina Calvo  to continue their adventure in Málaga and above all to extend an association that will end after this tournament.

Conversely,  Claudia Fernández  et  Sofia Araújo  They leave the tournament in a state of immense frustration. Their shared journey ends as it has often been this season: with some great performances, but also another elimination.  quarterfinal , despite two very favorable positions in the match.

In the semi-finals, Ortega and Calvo will face the winners of the duel between  Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea  et  Tamara Icardo / Claudia Jensen .

In the other quarter-final already played,  Marina Guinart  et  Alejandra Alonso  continued their excellent tournament run by dominating the qualifiers  Ariadna Cañellas  et  Amanda López Moral  in two sets ( 7 / 6 6 / 3 ) to secure their place in the final four.
