Alix Collombon  et  Ksenia Sharifova  begin their journey in the main draw this Tuesday  Premier Padel Malaga P1 The Frenchwoman and the Russian have been given a rather favorable draw for their entry into the competition, although they will have to be wary of a first round that could prove more tricky than it seems.

A first round within their reach

Collombon and Sharifova will face off against  Carmen Castillon  et  Lorena Vano , beneficiaries of a  wild card .

On paper, the Franco-Russian pair will be the favorites. Facing them are two players ranked respectively  86e  et  119rd in the world , an adversary well within their reach.

Be careful though  Carmen Castillon , who will be playing in front of her home crowd in Málaga. Urged on by the local fans, the Spaniard could make this match more complicated than expected. Collombon and Sharifova will therefore need to get off to a flying start to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

A big challenge if they qualify

If they overcome this first obstacle, a completely different challenge will await them.

They would face the fourth seed in the round of 4.  Claudia Fernández  et  Sofia Araújo who are playing their last tournament together this week before their separation.

On paper, Collombon and Sharifova would clearly be the underdogs. But this end of their collaboration could also create a unique context. Between one pair already focused on the future and another playing without pressure, an upset isn't entirely out of the question.

Before even thinking about this potential clash, we must first get through this first round.

The meeting is scheduled for  third rotation of 10 a.m. on center court .

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
