Two pairs with French players will be present in the main draw of the  Premier Padel Malaga P1 .  Thomas Leygue / Arnau Ayats  et  Dylan Guichard / Clement Geens  validated their qualification while  Timéo Fonteny / Yoan Boronad  were stopped by the number 2 seed.

Fonteny and Boronad fall to stronger opponents

Having qualified without playing in the first round after their opponents withdrew,  Timéo Fonteny and Yoan Boronad  had a big challenge against  Aris Patiniotis and Miguel Benitez Lara , two players ranked in the world's top 100.

The French were defeated.  6 / 4 6 / 2 A logical defeat against a higher ranked and more experienced pair, even though Fonteny and Boronad managed to stay in touch in the first set.

Leygue and Ayats turn the match around with their mental strength.

 Thomas Leygue and Arnau Ayats  had to go to great lengths to secure their place in the main draw. They faced the lucky losers.  Pablo Reina Ambel and Jairo Guerrero Escarcena They won in the third set tie-break:  4/6 6/3 7/6 .

Trailing after the first set, Leygue and Ayats managed to turn the tide before pulling away in a nail-biting finish. A hard-fought victory, but one that does wonders for the Frenchman, finally back in a main draw on the circuit.  Premier Padel .

Guichard and Geens confirm their status

On their side,  Dylan Guichard and Clément Geens  delivered a more controlled performance against  Juan Pablo Dametto and Felipe Calleja .

The fourth seed from qualifying won.  6 / 3 7 / 5 , confirming her status and also validating her ticket for the final draw.

A solid qualification for the Franco-Belgian pair, who had already negotiated their first round well against Alejandro Jerez Canero and Jesús Moya.

Two French pairs in the draw

With  Leygue / Ayats  et  Guichard / Geens French padel therefore places two pairs in the main draw of the Málaga P1.

The draw could even offer a real opportunity: two pairs from the qualifiers are set to face each other in the first round. If one of the pairs with a French player lands on that square, the path to the second round would certainly be more open.
