Marta Ortega and Tamara Icardo (TS5) will compete  their first final together  on the circuit Premier Padel, after dominating Alejandra Alonso and Claudia Jensen (TS7) in two sets:  6 / 4 6 / 2 .

Constant domination from the first exchanges

From the start of the match,  Tamara Icardo and Marta Ortega  impose their rhythm. Solid in service, they win their games in an authoritative manner, often  without conceding any points In return, they get many opportunities, with  5 break points  in this first act. If they struggle to materialize, they grasp  the only decisive break point at 5/4 , to logically win the set 6/4. Opposite,  Alonso and Jensen  do not obtain  no opportunity on the opposing service , proof of the mastery of their opponents.

A second one-sided set

At the change of sides,  Frustration is getting to Claudia Jensen , and this is immediately felt in his playing.  Alonso and Jensen have 16 unforced errors together  in this second set, against  only 6 for Ortega / Icardo The 5th seed took advantage of this to break early on, then unfurl. Even at 5/2, they didn't give up and concluded with a  Double Break  to pocket the set 6/2.

A first final together… and an already historic result

In only  three tournaments together , Marta Ortega and Tamara Icardo reach their first joint final on the circuit Premier Padel. For Ortega, it is  his second season finale , after the one played in Cancun with Sofia Araújo.

Jensen and Alonso, who had  abandoned in the semi-final in Bordeaux  against Araújo / Ustero, once again stop at the gates of a first final.

An edition like no other in Malaga

It's here  first time in the history of the women's circuit Premier Padel  that neither of the top two seeds reaches the semi-finals. Ortega and Icardo will have a good card to play for  to go and get their first joint title  this Sunday.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
