Le  FIP Platinum Lyon  will not only be one of the most competitive tournaments of this end of the season on the FIP Tour. It will also serve as a true  starting point for several new associations  born after the Paris Major.

The week in Paris accelerated the transfer window. Several projects that were no longer working came to an end, and Lyon will allow many players to test their new partnership before the season resumes. Premier Padel.

Among the most anticipated:  Javi Garrido / Sanyo Gutiérrez, Juanlu Esbrí / Íñigo Jofre, Pol Hernández / Manu Castaño or Guillermo Collado / Enrique Goenaga .

Garrido/Bergamini, a separation that had become inevitable

One of the main separations concerns  Javi Garrido and Lucas Bergamini .

The project had actually started rather well. At the beginning of the season, the two men had strung together several  quarter-finals suggesting that they could gradually get closer to the very best pairs.

But the momentum then deteriorated sharply. Eliminations in the round of 16 piled up and, despite a  quarter-final at the Italy Major  and a title in  FIP Gold The pair never really regained the level they displayed at the beginning of the year.

The Paris Major will have been the result too far: a  third consecutive elimination in the first round on Premier Padel .

So the separation finally happened.

Sanyo / Garrido, a highly anticipated new project

To bounce,  Javi Garrido to join forces with Sanyo Gutiérrez .

A particularly interesting duo on paper. Garrido can bring his power and attacking prowess, while Sanyo possesses experience and playmaking ability that can perfectly complement the Andalusian's game.

In Lyon, they will immediately be placed among the top pairs in the tournament.

For both players, the main challenge will be to quickly see if they can connect. Garrido is coming off a difficult period, and Sanyo has also just experienced a turbulent end to his previous project.

Sanyo / Esbrí, a tense finish at Roland-Garros

Because the other significant split within Paris Major concerns precisely  Sanyo Gutiérrez / Juanlu Esbrí .

Their partnership was still recent, but their defeat against  Thomas Leygue / Jesús Moya  will have been accompanied by strong tensions.

During the match, Sanyo repeatedly showed his frustration towards Esbrí. On the bench, the tone had even clearly escalated, with several reproaches directed at his teammate.

Esbrí had also had a hard time with the situation.

It's difficult to say that this single match caused the separation, but this tension could certainly have played a role.

Esbrí leaves with Jofre

Juanlu Esbri  will now partner with  Inigo Jofre  for the end of the season.

An interesting choice, since Jofre arrives with a lot of confidence after his  semi-final at Madrid P1 .

The two Spaniards possess qualities that allow them to work well together and will also arrive in Lyon in a very good position.

The FIP Platinum will therefore be their first real test before seeing if this association can be established in the long term.

Pol Hernández / Castaño and Collado / Goenaga are also launching their project

Another announced separation surrounding Paris Major: that of  Pol Hernández / Guillermo Collado .

The two Spaniards shared the track for over a year and a half and experienced the best moments of their young careers together. A consistent pair, capable of gradually establishing themselves on Premier Padel.

But their dynamic had deteriorated and the two players decided to go their separate ways.

Pol Hernández  will thus launch a project with the young  Manu Castaño A bet on youth, with an association that will have to quickly find its rhythm.

For its part,  William Collado  will evolve with  Enrique Goenaga .

Two new pairs who will have their first opportunity in Lyon to find out if the change was the right choice.

Chozas/Rubini, a partnership to watch

We will also find  Alex Chozas / Juan Ignacio Rubini .

An interesting partnership, although it remains to be seen whether it is intended solely for Lyon or if it could be extended to the end of the season.

The two Argentinians possess enough qualities to be immediately competitive and will be among the pairs capable of causing problems for the favorites.

Several other unprecedented partnerships

Lyon's transfer activity doesn't end there.

Francisco Cabeza / Javi Ruiz  will also be involved, as will  Pablo García / Emilio Sánchez Chamero .

We will also find  Victor Mena / Juan Cruz Belluati , a pair which we will again have to see if it stands the test of time or simply meets the availability of the moment.

All these combinations make this FIP Platinum particularly interesting: beyond the result, many will primarily be looking to  test their compatibility on the track .

Alonso / Dal Pozzo, a unique pairing for women

The phenomenon will be less pronounced among women, but a few one-off associations simply for the tournament will still attract attention.

Alejandra Alonso  will notably play with the Italian  Giulia Dal Pozzo A brand new pair that will be very well placed at the top of the second series.

On paper, the association seems more linked to the Lyon opportunity than to a long-term project, but with their respective levels, they will be among the pairs to watch.

Rufo / Castelló reform their duo

Another interesting association:  Lorena Rufo / Jessica Castelló  will reunite as a pair for the occasion.

The two Spanish women already know each other very well and will therefore not have the same adaptation work to do as the new male partnerships.

They will arrive in Lyon with TS4 status and will be among the main candidates to go far.

Lyon as a laboratory before the end of the season

Between the separations caused or accelerated around the Paris Major and the availability left by the calendar, the  FIP Platinum Lyon is taking on the appearance of a laboratory for the transfer market .

Some partnerships are clearly intended to continue until the end of the season. Others might only be a temporary measure.

But for all of them, the objective will be the same:  quickly test the automated processes, take notes, and see if the new project can work. .

With a field already very strong, Lyon will immediately give an initial response.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
