The semi-finals of P1000 Casa Padel DOSS in Asnières delivered their verdict this Sunday morning.
And despite two very nice surprises in the draw, logic was finally respected with a final between the two main seeds of the tournament.
Marie/Motz overturn Leduc/Vignat's mental game
In the first semi-final, Jules Marie / Julien Motz (TS2) faced the pleasant surprise of the weekend:
Axel Leduc / Grégoire Vignat .
And the favorites were pushed to their limits in an extremely close match that ended with a score of 3/6 6/3 6/4 .
The locals Leduc and Vignat started the match perfectly. Very aggressive from the first exchanges, they quickly gained the upper hand against a Jules Marie who was struggling a bit, sometimes late on certain shots and less accurate in his choices.
Result:
first set won logically 6/3 by the outsiders.
The reaction of the favorites
But the number 2 seed clearly picked up the pace in the second set.
More aggressive, more present at the net, Jules Marie and Julien Motz also benefited from a slight dip in form by Grégoire Vignat, who was in a little more difficulty and made more unforced errors.
They logically catch up by winning the round 6/3 .
A third set decided by the smallest details
The last set is extremely tense.
Leduc and Vignat manage to break away to lead 3/2 , but immediately crack behind by conceding the break in the following game… before losing their serve again a few minutes later.
A cruel scenario in a round where everything hinged on details.
Statistically, the favorites will have been more aggressive with:
- 39 winning shots against 28
- but above all, a much better management of important moments.
However, the two teams were almost evenly matched in terms of total points:
- 80 points won for Marie / Motz
- salary. 75 for Leduc / Vignat.
The real difference is made on break points:
- 4 obtained, 3 converted for the favorites
- salary. 7 opportunities but only 2 converted for the outsiders.

Gortzounian / Deknuydt more peaceful
In the other semi-final, the number 1 seed Charles Gortzounian / Eliot Deknuydt faced the other surprise of the tournament:
Iglicki / Boileau .
This time, the favorites lived up to expectations with a victory. 6 / 4 6 / 1 .
The first set remains close until 5/4 , the moment chosen by Gortzounian and Deknuydt to break away and definitively gain the upper hand.
Behind them, they completely dominated the second set to logically reach the final.
A final between the two favorites
The final will therefore pit:
- Charles Gortzounian / Eliot Deknuydt (TS1) vs Jules Marie / Julien Motz (TS2)
The two strongest pairs in the tournament will be present to conclude this P1000 Casa Padel TWO.
Appointment from 14:30 PM live on Padel MagTV to follow this final.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
