Big surprise at  P1000 Slats Padel Club . The pair  Mathis Maître / Florian Armand (TS12)  prevails in the final against the  seeded 2 Rémy Gourre / Thomas Bréchemier  on the score of  6 / 4 6 / 3 .

An exceptional run for the outsiders, who have brought down  TS1 Diaz / Rubio in the semi-finals , then TS2 in the final.

 A first set turned around with authority 

The start of the match is tight, but quickly,  Master and Armand gain the upper hand .

They are very aggressive and acquire  no fewer than 11 break points in the first set which ultimately made the difference in conclusion  6/4 in 36 minutes .

Opposite,  Remy Gourre , already struggling in the semi-final, shows signs of nervousness, particularly in the left diagonal where  Mathis Maître causes a lot of damage .

To the right,  Florian Armand is extremely solid preventing Bréchemier from speaking over his head.

 A mastered second set 

The dynamics remained the same in the second half.  Master/Armand remain solid and steadfast taking advantage of the opponent's reduced performance.

 6/3 in 20 minutes , Along with:

  •  13 winning shots against 6 
  •  9 unforced errors against 11 

A single converted break point was enough to make the difference.

Opposite,  Gourre and Bréchemier seem frustrated , less sharp, and struggle to reverse the trend.

 An exceptional journey 

The performance is enormous:

  • victory in the semi-final against the  TS1 Diaz / Rubio 
  • victory in the final against the  TS2 Gourre / Bréchemier 

 The two best pairs in the tournament were eliminated. 

 A historic first 

This title marks:

  •  the first P1000 for Mathis Maître who had never reached the semi-finals before
  •  Florian Armand's first P1000 title a regular in the final stages but never with a title to show for it

 A deserved victory 

Solid, aggressive, and consistent from start to finish,  Master/Armand managed their final perfectly  to win in less than an hour.

A landmark victory, and clearly  one of the most pleasant surprises of  this tournament.
