Maxi Arce is no longer hiding his goal: to compete in the next World Championship with Argentina. When questioned by El 4 SetThe Argentinian discussed his chances of being selected, imagined his squad for the Albiceleste, and even envisioned a potential final. He was convinced that if called up, he could contribute significantly to his country. 

The World Cup is definitely in the back of his mind

As the global deadline approaches, it's difficult for  Maxi Maple  to completely dismiss the question of selection. He claims to try not to think about it, but acknowledges that the desire to wear the Argentinian colors inevitably takes up space.

"I try not to really think about it, but the desire to be there is so strong that, I won't lie, a lot of thoughts come to mind."

The former number 1 of A1 Padel considers himself competitive enough to aspire to a place and, above all, to have a real role in the team.

"I feel very competitive and I think that, if I have the chance to be with Argentina, I can contribute a great deal."

However, Arce does not consider his selection a given at all.

"Clearly, I'm not there yet."

The Argentinian player is even clear-headed about his situation. His  The ranking remains lower than that of several direct candidates. which means he still has to prove himself on the ground.

"I think that, clearly, I'm not in it. Firstly, because in the rankings, I'm behind those names. To really feel like I'm on the list, I need to continue playing more games and, above all, winning difficult games."

A statement that sums up his challenge:  turning ambitions into results  to give the Argentinian coach enough arguments.

Invited to choose his own Argentina team, Arce played along.

On the left, he would select  Agustín Tapia, Franco Stupaczuk, Leo Augsburger and Juan Tello On the right, his choice would be  Federico Chingotto, Martín Di Nenno, Tino Libaak… and himself .

This list primarily illustrates the incredible competition he faces. To secure his spot, Arce must carve out a place for himself among players already established as world-class.

But when asked to imagine a World Cup final, the Argentinian goes even further.

Arce sees himself playing the third point with Stupaczuk

For a potential final, Maxi Arce would choose to meet  Franco Stupaczuk , with whom he explains that he has an excellent relationship and, above all, very good feelings on the track.

"Because of the good relationship I have with Stupa and because I felt very comfortable playing with him, I'm teaming up with him."

And not just in any position. Arce would like to be lined up for a possible  third decisive match .

His ideal scenario would begin with a particularly spectacular partnership:  Federico Chingotto with Agustín Tapia .

"I think it would give a lot of confidence to start by winning."

For the second point, he would then associate  Martín Di Nenno to Leo Augsburger with the hope that Argentina can already conclude the match.

What if the final had to go all the way?  Arce would like to enter the race with Stupaczuk to contest the third point.
