The first part of the Miami P1 quarter-finals kept all its promises… or almost. On the central track of the Miami Convention Center, the spectators attended a recital by the world's No. 2 pair, Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán, who left no chance for Di Nenno and Garrido, swept away by the resounding score of 6 / 1 6 / 2.

Chingalán in steamroller mode

We left them in halftone in Riyadh, beaten in the quarter-finals by Cardona / Augsburger, but “Chingalan” seems to be back to their best. Fede Chingotto announced it in preseason: their best version would return. And this quarter-final confirmed his words, with a service ultra-dominant, rhythmic, intense, and with only 8 unforced errors throughout the game.

Facing them, Di Nenno and Garrido, although dangerous on paper, never found the keyJavi Garrido appeared nervous, lacking patience, with sometimes hasty choices, which made the task easier for Jorge Martínez's men.

Yanguas and Nieto, serious and solid

In the semi-finals, Chingotto and Galán will find Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas, who defeated in two sets (6/4 7/6) Sanyo Gutiérrez and Javi Leal, in a very solid match.

Leal / Gutierrez confirms its rise to power, with an increasingly coherent padel, and above all a great consistency in decision-making. The high level of Sanyo, in this quarter, and the lucidity of Loyal will not have been enough against a very solid duo.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
