Very difficult to see clearly on normal resumption of padel first thing tomorrow. Indeed, even if the FFT press release and the words of President Bernard Giudicelli do not no room for doubts, the return of Ministry of Sports is however much less precise...

Resumption of tennis / padel in both singles and doubles is normally intended for this Saturday November 28. Tennis clubs and players, padel and beach tennis hope that the information from the FFT will not be called into question.

The Ministry of Sports sows doubt

Since yesterday, many Internet users (and ourselves) have been trying to obtain additional information on the resumption of the padel under normal conditions for this first stage of deconfinement which begins tomorrow.

The answers are complicated to obtain and they are especially fuzzy, not to say contradictory with the various press releases from federal tennis authorities.

For total transparency on exchanges with the Ministry of Sports, we suggest you form your own opinion on the situation through these questions / answers :

  • Julie Gervais: Can group lessons resume for minors and adults outdoors for tennis?

Ministry of Sports: From Saturday for minors, outdoors, respecting the distance - with an adapted protocol. You will have more details from tomorrow. For adults the practice will be possible but only individually. No group lessons before January 20 a priori

  • Yannick Le Meur: So if my tennis club is 600m from my house, can I do outdoor training with my son from Saturday?

Ministry of Sports: Alone both, outdoors, yes. Within the 3h / 20km limit as you understood it.

  • Gregory Berben: Please confirm the words of the Federation and its president concerning the resumption of the padel normally ?

Ministry of Sports: We explain that we are waiting for elements to answer you more precisely and this in order not to fuel more confusion.

Clubs padel organize themselves

Following the various announcements of our representatives in the padel, the clubs of padel organize themselves to prepare for the recovery. From north to south, from the moment the clubs have outdoor or semi-indoor grounds, sports centers communicate on their upcoming reopening.

The Pyramides club in Port-Marly in the Paris region will reopen its tennis and padel outdoor next Wednesday:

The speech of the President of the Republic is final, the decision is recorded, the sports clubs remain closed until January 20.

The health measures put in place will not have been enough to make the cause heard in a profession that has been hit hard, even in distress for some Clubs, a sector which is nevertheless so essential to public health.

The establishment as a sports and leisure club is closed, but we remind you that members with a medical prescription can go to the fitness room.

However, we are pleased to announce that outdoor sports schools (tennis, golf, padel and football) can resume their activities as of next week, as of Wednesday 2 December.

In order to facilitate the drop-off and pick-up of your children, we are also reopening the Children's Club as of this date and until Sunday December 20 inclusive, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 19 p.m.

We hope that there will be no disillusionment for the clubs and players, and that the health protocol in progress will not reserve us (bad) surprises ...
