One of the specific features of Elite Padel Academy  resides in the use of  motor preferences , a concept widely used in sports like golf, but still very little developed in padel.

The principle is simple: each player possesses a natural organization of movement, acquired over the years. Foot placement, rotations of the pelvis and shoulders, or even the way power is produced, each spontaneously develops their own mechanics.

For  Thibault Lalouette Trying to teach all players the same technique is a mistake.

"For years, golf sought to teach a perfect swing. Today, we know that several techniques can lead to performance. Padel still follows this old logic."

The idea is therefore to adapt the technique to the player's motor profile rather than the other way around. Should we favor open or closed stances? First, rotate the shoulders as  Arturo Coello  or more the hips like  Alejandro Galán  All these answers depend on each person's natural way of functioning.

 Neuroscience in the service of learning

The academy also relies on the  Neuroscience  to structure his sessions.

Each player learns differently. Some respond more to visual demonstrations, others to verbal explanations, and still others to repetition of movement.

For this reason, the same movement can be taught in several ways in order to find the one that will allow the player to progress most effectively.

The method is also based on three distinct steps:

  • the acquisition of the technique;
  • the development of skills;
  • the transfer in a performance situation.

According to  Thibault Lalouette Wanting to go directly from training to the match is one of the most frequent mistakes.

“Repeating the same basket technique fifty times often gives the illusion of progress. But this absolutely does not guarantee that the player will be able to reproduce it in competition.”

 “From can I… to should I”

This philosophy is summarized by the academy's motto:

 “From can I…to should I.”

In other words, the right question is no longer:

“Can I pull this off?”

But rather:

“What should I do in this situation?”

For  Elite Padel Academy The progression rests on three complementary pillars:

  • some  statistics  allowing us to identify areas for improvement;
  • a technique adapted to  motor preferences  of the player;
  • tactical decision-making based on probabilities rather than instinct.

An approach that puts clarity at the heart of performance.

 An academy already established in several clubs

A few months after its launch,  Elite Padel Academy  already intervenes in several structures of  Hauts-de-France  :

  •  PadelShot Lille (Hellemmes)  ;
  •  TC Mérignies  ;
  •  Padel Campus Arena  in Billy-Berclau;
  •  Padel Family Club  in Brebières, where a group of players from  French Top 200  already works with the academy.

 An internship with Ángel González in September

The academy will continue its development with the organization of an exceptional training course on  26th & 27th September  à  PadelShot Lille .

The event will be hosted by  Thibault Lalouette  alongside Angel González , coach of Ari Sánchez  et  Andrea Ustero , elected  Best coach of the year 2023 .

A further illustration of the will of Elite Padel Academy  to bring the methods of the highest level closer to the everyday lives of amateur and competitive players.

 A different vision of coaching

In a landscape where many academies are run by former professional players,  Elite Padel Academy  takes a different approach: that of research, continuing education and scientific analysis.

Advanced statistics,  biomechanics ,  Neuroscience Artificial intelligence and individualized learning make up a method that aims to answer a simple question: how to help each player progress according to their own way of functioning, rather than by asking them to reproduce a single model.

An approach that could well find its place in a  paddle  constantly evolving.

First private academy present in several clubs in the region, Elite Padel Academy is involved today in the brand new club Padelshot Lille (Hellemmes), at TC Mérignies, and at Padel Campus Arena (Billy-Berclau). Also, at Padel Family Club (Brebières), a group of top 200 players, has been forming with the academy for three months.

Note that there was an internship with Thibault and Angel Gonzalez (coach) Premier Padel by Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero) will take place at Padel(shot Lille on September 26th/27th): contact@elite-padel.fr to participate.
