After signing Agustín Tapia in the men's game, Nike is starting to seriously consider the women's circuit. According to Marca, the American brand has initiated initial discussions with the representatives of several players, with three names standing out: Delfi Brea, Martina Calvo, and Andrea Ustero. Nothing is signed yet, but the first contacts reportedly took place during the Paris Major.
Nike is making progress in padel
The arrival of Nike in padel seems to be taking shape. A few months ago, Marca already revealed the American firm's interest in Agustín Tapia , with the possibility of making him one of its first major ambassadors in the discipline from 2027.
This time, Nike would be focusing on the women's circuit.
According to information from the Spanish media, discussions have been ongoing for several weeks to determine the Contractual situation of some of the best players in the world The objective would be to study the different possibilities before choosing the one who could become Nike's first major representative in women's padel.
A representative of the brand was reportedly seen at Paris Major , after having already followed the steps of Buenos Aires and Rome It was at Roland-Garros that several informal exchanges reportedly took place with the entourage of players on the circuit.
At this stage, however, nothing is as advanced as in the Tapia case. Depending on the players' profiles and current contracts, a potential arrival could occur. as early as next season or only in 2028 .
Delfi Brea, the big dream signing?
If Nike wants to replicate the strategy envisioned for men in the women's market, Delfi Brea inevitably appears as a prime target.
Argentina, the world number 1, reportedly particularly caught the brand's attention during the tournament. Buenos Aires Beyond its results, Nike was reportedly marked by its popularity and the genuine "fan phenomenon" that accompanies it in Argentina.
But the case is far from simple.
Brea currently has a contract with Bullpadel , a brand that has been with her since her early years and with which she maintains a very strong relationship. According to Marca, the player is even considering Bullpadel as "his home" and would not consider a change that would take place without the involvement of his current equipment supplier.
Argentina is also represented by WME Sports , an American agency which opened its padel branch in 2024 and which notably counts Arturo Coello among its athletes.
Marca nevertheless mentions an interest that is said to be progressing well, even though several contracts and commercial agreements still need to be taken into account.

Martina Calvo, the profile that appeals to Nike
Another player who reportedly attracted attention: Martina Calvo .
The young Spaniard has quickly established herself as one of the most followed players on the circuit. Her rise, her age, and also her personality off the court are said to have particularly appealed to Nike.
Initial contacts have reportedly already taken place. Sources close to the discussions, cited by Marca, describe his youth, maturity, and personality as qualities he possesses. "very American" , in reference to the way major American brands construct the image of their athletes.
Here again, her contractual situation will need to be taken into account. Calvo is currently tied to Babolat for the racket, shoes, and bags. Since 2025, she has also worn Oysho for her outfits.
His entourage would prefer to proceed with caution. The relationship with Babolat is described as particularly strong, the French brand also being considered a true home by the young Spaniard.

Andrea Ustero also under surveillance
The third name put forward is that of Andrea Ustero .
At just 18 years old, the Catalan player has already established herself among the world's best and represents one of the biggest talents on the women's circuit. Her performances would logically have attracted the attention of Nike, particularly during the Paris Major where representatives of the brand present at Roland-Garros were reportedly impressed by his profile.
But Ustero also has significant commitments.
It evolves with HEAD since 2023 the year the Austrian brand decided to invest in her when she was still just a huge prospect. Since 2025, she has also been represented by Top Spin Agency , which notably includes Sofia Araújo and Jon Sanz.

Initial contacts have been made, but no signatures have been signed yet.
For the time being, we must therefore remain cautious: No agreement with Brea, Calvo or Ustero has been announced. Nike is reportedly still in an exploratory phase, gathering information and holding initial discussions about several candidates.
But above all, the movement confirms a trend: the American brand now seems determined to find its place in padel.
After the file Agustín Tapia As revealed a few months ago, Nike is now looking for the woman who could embody its arrival on the women's circuit. Delfi Brea, Martina Calvo and Andrea Ustero are today the three names that come up most insistently.
It remains to be seen which one, if one of them actually takes the plunge, will become Nike's first major ambassador in women's padel.
