Brothers Nuno and Miguel Deus continue to make their mark on the international padel scene. After flirting with the feat against Di Nenno/Stupaczuk during the last World Championships in Qatar, the two Portuguese players once again distinguished themselves in Kuwait P1, confirming their status as formidable outsiders.

From Qatar to Kuwait: Superpibes in Chingalan

The Deus brothers have achieved a rare feat that only superstars can achieve. Tapia and Coello had accomplished in recent months: shaking up Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto. During their confrontation in Kuwait, the Portuguese, who came through the qualifiers, managed to snatch a set from them. An impressive performance, especially since they were without a coach.

Engaged for their first season on the circuit Premier Padel In Mendoza, the former players of A1 Padel have argued 16 matches in 2024 according to FIP data. A remarkable journey for a pair that continues to progress and make people talk about it.

A statistic that gets people talking

The Deus brothers are the first pair to take a set from Galán and Chingotto before a final since last June, during the tournament in Genoa. Before them, only a few pairs had achieved such a feat, namely:

  • Zapata-Goenaga
  • Stupa – Di Nenno
  • Momo-Ruiz
  • Paquito-Lebron

The next goal? To do even better and assert themselves against the giants. One thing is certain: the Deus brothers have not finished making people talk about them.
