At the head of the project,  Stéphane Ruiz The club's founder gives a very positive assessment of this first experience at this level.

A lively atmosphere and a great response from the audience.

From the very first exchanges, the tone is set: satisfaction prevails.

"We are very pleased to have organized the first P1000 in Vaucluse. The idea was really to gain recognition for padel at the competitive level, while remaining a club open to recreational play."

The gamble paid off. Over the entire weekend,  The public responded enthusiastically. creating a continuous atmosphere around the tracks. The stands installed around the fields allowed spectators to be accommodated in good conditions, with optimal visibility.

"We had a huge turnout. The atmosphere was fantastic for three days; there was a real sense of community and energy."

Facilities designed for play and entertainment

The Pontet club relies on a rare configuration for a recent structure:  eight fields in total including  four indoor tracks and four outdoor tracks , with particular attention paid to playing comfort and the spectator experience.

"We tried to ensure that as many people as possible were seated and comfortable. The stands around the pitches really made a difference."

The players, who are used to national competitions, were quick to highlight the quality of the welcome and the organization, feedback that was particularly appreciated by the club team.

"When players of this caliber, who know many clubs, tell you that the organization and staff are top-notch, it's very encouraging for us."

Stéphane Ruiz P1000 Paul & Louis Sport – Le Pontet lays the foundations for an ambitious project in Vaucluse

A recent club, but already structured

Open with a clear vision, Paul & Louis Sport was conceived from the outset as a  a venue capable of accommodating both elite athletes and recreational athletes A philosophy that seems to be bearing fruit.

"We wanted to create a club where you can participate in both high-level and recreational activities. This P1000 program was exactly in line with that goal."

Beyond the land itself, the site relies on a  academy a team of teachers, as well as a  catering space contributing to making the club a fully-fledged living space.

Ambitions already focused on the future

Organizing this P1000 is just one step. Stéphane Ruiz has clear objectives for the coming months.

A follow-up meeting has already been scheduled:
from 22 to 24 may , the club will host a  P1000 ladies , played outdoors on the  four fully panoramic tracks , with off-piste excursions permitted.

"We're going to try to put on another great event, with pitches that offer even more of a spectacle."

In the longer term, ambitions are raised even further. The club recently  applied for a P1500 , a category that could evolve into a  P2000 , even though the current capacity in terms of the number of tracks imposes certain limitations.

Finally, a more international objective is clearly stated:

"We'd like to do a FIP (Fund for the Promotion of Public Interest) in the near future."

A strong signal for padel in Vaucluse

With this first P1000 tournament, Paul & Louis Sport sends a clear message: competitive padel now has a solid foothold in Vaucluse. Well-organized, with suitable facilities, a good turnout, and structured ambitions: all the ingredients seem to be in place to firmly establish the Pontet club on the national scene… and beyond.
