padel rankings for April 2026  were published by the  French Tennis Federation (FFT) This monthly update confirms the continued growth in the number of players involved in competition, with a new milestone reached.

A continued increase in the number of competitors

The FFT now lists  157,118 padel competitors  In France, a figure that corresponds to licensed players who have participated in at least one tournament in the last twelve months.

Compared to the previous month, the progress is clear with  over 3,600 new competitors in the men's category Meanwhile, the increase remains more limited on the female side with  approximately 320 additional players .

This dynamic confirms the attractiveness of padel in France, while highlighting a still marked imbalance between the sexes.

The women/men ratio remains unbalanced.

Female players represent only 12,8% of competitors . A figure that remains stable and underlines the persistent gap between male and female participation in French padel.

This imbalance constitutes one of the development challenges for the governing bodies, particularly in terms of access to practice and structuring of women's competitions.

Jean-Sébastien Willem, the most active player over 12 months

Among the key data points,  Jean-Sebastien Willem , founder of the Chantilly club, distinguishes himself with  168 tournaments played over the last twelve months .

A particularly sustained level of activity which illustrates the commitment of certain players on the amateur and national circuit.

Occitanie and PACA are among the most active leagues

At the territorial level, the  Occitanie league  stay ahead with  27 competitors , in front, there  PACA league  who counts  26 076 .

Behind, the  Nouvelle Aquitaine  and  Ile-de-France  confirm their momentum with  more than 18,000 competitors each , demonstrating a homogeneous development across several regions.
