Le 9 December 2024, Sindh Padel Association, under the aegis of the Pakistan Padel Federation, officially launched the Pakistan Padel Tour, marking a historic milestone for the development of this sport in the country. This ambitious event will introduce for the first time a national ranking system, structuring and promoting padel players in Pakistan.

A national project to democratize padel

Pakistan Padel Tour aims to popularize padel throughout the country by organizing tournaments across major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, , and Islamabad, where this sport begins to integrate into cultural and daily life. The initiative aims to increase the visibility of padel while providing a structured platform for players through a national ranking system, based on the system Wecourts-WPPR.

An inauguration in Karachi

The official launch of this event will be held on 18 December 2024or a SMASHX, KDA, Karachi, starting at 17 p.m. This ceremony will bring together padel players, influencers, journalists and sports enthusiasts to celebrate the start of this national tour. Karachi, a pioneering city in the introduction of padel in Pakistan, is kicking off this project which aims to quickly expand to other metropolises.

International support and supervision

Le Pakistan Padel Federation, chaired by Fazle Mateen Qureshi, underlines the importance of this initiative in promoting padel as a structured and recognized sporting discipline. The Karachi tournament will be the first to be supervised by a Level 1 certified referee by the International Padel Federation. Padel, thus guaranteeing authentic regulation that complies with international standards.

A milestone for padel in Pakistan

Created in November 2023 and based in Lahore, the Pakistan Padel Federation already benefits from the recognition of thePakistan Olympic AssociationIts application for international recognition, underway since April 2024, marks its ambition to make padel a leading sport in the country.
