La  4th edition of the Paris Major  begins this Monday, September 8, 2025 with a first day entirely devoted to  qualifications Two rounds are on the program, contested over the whole day from 10 a.m., spread over five tracks including the  Court Philippe Chatrier , which will welcome all French people involved.

Soubrié / Ligi for the French wild card

The first French women to enter the competition on the center field will be  Charlotte Soubrié (141th)  et  Fiona Ligi (215st) . Beneficiaries of a  wild card , they will face the Argentinian pair in the second rotation (around 11:30 a.m.)  Camila Fassio (67th) / Lucia Peralta (78th) , seeded number 1 in these qualifications.

A far from simple start for the only French players invited to the women's draw. This Sunday, they fine-tuned their preparation on the Roland-Garros center court, notably during a training session with the  team Padel Magazine  composed of Franck and Nicolas Binisti. An ideal setting before their big meeting.

Vives / Joris face a formidable duo

In gentlemen,  Maxime Joris (166th)  et  Manuel Vives (272th) , beneficiaries of the only French wild card in these qualifications, will challenge the solid Spanish-Italian pair in the third rotation (around 13 p.m.)  Flavio Abbate (88th) / Manuel Castaño (94th) , seeded No. 4.

A difficult encounter is in store, especially since the Italian Abbate is well known to the French: a member of the Italian national team, he has already crossed paths with the French team in international competitions and it looks set to last. He recently played with the Spaniard Álvaro Montiel, former partner of Thomas Leygue.

In case of victory, Joris and Vives could meet another well-known French pair, the number 5 seed, in the second round.  Clément Geens / Simon Vasquez But before that, we will have to overcome the first obstacle.

A Monday already decisive

If Soubrié / Ligi manage to win, they will play their  qualifying final  from 16 p.m. on center court. Same scenario for Vives / Joris, who, if successful, would also be competing for their ticket to the main draw at the end of the day.

The meeting is therefore scheduled for  10 a.m. this Monday morning at Roland-Garros  to follow the launch of this Paris Major 2025. The qualifications will be broadcast live on the  FFT YouTube channel .
