Ari Sánchez / Andrea Ustero  are champions of the Paris Major. For their very first confrontation against  Claudia Fernández / Martina Calvo The third seed delivered a near-perfect final to win in just  1:11 , at the end of a one-sided match.

A demonstration of skill in conditions altered by rain and the closure of the Philippe-Chatrier court's roof. Sánchez and Ustero never gave their opponents a moment's rest and secured their first Major together. At 19, Ustero became the youngest player to win the Paris Major.

Ustero starts very strong, Sánchez controls everything

The match begins immediately in the direction of Sánchez/Ustero, with a  entry station wagon .

The rain quickly forced the Philippe-Chatrier roof to be closed, which slowed conditions. But this didn't bother Andrea Ustero at all.

The young Spaniard is the only one who can consistently get the ball out of bounds. She hits hard, finds her positions perfectly, and immediately puts Fernández/Calvo under intense pressure.

To the side,  Ari Sánchez plays an exceptional first set Very few mistakes, a lot of precision on the fly, and above all, a  Rulo at the gate who causes a lot of damage .

À  4/2 Sánchez/Ustero find a second break and definitively take control of the set.

On the other side, Calvo/Fernández are under pressure. They lack consistency and are regularly countered whenever they try to accelerate.

A second one-sided set

Although the first set had already set the tone, the second set turned into a demonstration.

Andrea Ustero is completely on fire.  Her smash works perfectly and the young Spaniard plays with impressive confidence.

Sánchez continues to hold the pair together with tremendous composure and no drop in performance.

Result:  6/0 in just 31 minutes .

No lulls. No moment where their opponents can truly believe in a comeback.

Fernández / Calvo miss out on their final

For  Claudia Fernández / Martina Calvo The disappointment will inevitably be significant.

After eliminating the world's number 1 players  Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea  They never reached that level in the semi-finals, but they never recovered that level in the final.

Many unforced errors, inaccuracies and above all constant pressure imposed by Sánchez / Ustero.

Fernández in particular had a difficult match, with less physical intensity than in previous rounds and many more mistakes.

The figures perfectly summarize the dominance:  No break points obtained by Fernández / Calvo , against a constantly threatening opposing pair.

Sánchez / Ustero finish with  31 winning shots against 20 but above all only  14 unforced errors against 21 .

A lightning-fast final and a real lesson

A women's final concluded in  1:11 That's rare at this level.

And yet, there was almost never any suspense.

Sánchez / Ustero were better in all areas: more aggressive, more solid, more precise and above all much more consistent.

The world's number 3 players delivered a truly  padel lesson  on the Philippe-Chatrier.

First Major for Ustero

This victory inevitably has a special flavor for  Andrea Ustero .

Only at  19 years she gets her  first major title .

A nice nod to the history of Roland-Garros:  Rafael Nadal was also 19 years old when he won his first title on the Parisian clay courts. .

Ustero was already familiar with this track, having reached the final of the Paris Major two years ago, at only 17 years old, alongside  Delfi Brea .

This time, she goes all the way and becomes the youngest player to win this tournament.

Ari Sánchez's third Roland-Garros title

For  Ari Sánchez The experience was quite different.

The Spaniard was competing in her  ninth Major final  and here he secures his  third title at Roland-Garros .

For the Sánchez/Ustero pair, it was only their  second Major final together , after the one held in Rome.

They mostly stayed on  three consecutive defeats in the semi-finals Their return to the final was therefore the right one.

After having to battle in three sets in the previous rounds, they saved their best padel for the last match.

And on the Philippe-Chatrier,  Sánchez/Ustero simply gave Fernández/Calvo no chance. .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
