The 2025 season of Premier Padel It's behind us, but it continues to generate discussion. And sometimes more so through statistics than through final victories. The platform Padel Intelligence published a series of statistics that offer a different perspective on the professional circuit. Not always flattering to the stars… and often revealing.
The kings of smash… but not always in the way you might imagine.
On the men's side, it's impossible to ignore the offensive impact of the circuit's leaders. Ale Galán overwhelmingly dominates the ranking of winning smashes with 1,117, ahead of Agustín Tapia (838) and Arturo Coello (837). Logical, some might say: the more you play, the more you hit.
But when these figures are adjusted for the number of matches played, the picture changes slightly. Galán remains in the lead with 24,75 rebounds per game, but he feels the pressure from Leo Augsburger (24,43), whose raw power wreaks havoc every time he takes the field. The surprise comes from Jairo Bautista, third with 23,09, often underrated but remarkably effective.

Solidity, a less spectacular art
Being spectacular doesn't mean being clean. And that's where the stats get interesting. Among players who have played more than ten matches, Pincho Fernández, currently ranked 63rd in the world, makes the fewest unforced errors: 5,55 per match. An impressively clean record.
He is ahead of Lucas Bergamini (7,23) and… Coello, third with 7,35. Proof that the world number one also knows how to make few mistakes despite his ultra-aggressive game.
Double faults: rare, but not non-existent
In padel, double faults remain an anomaly. Yet, some names stand out. Pablo Cardona and Álex Arroyo each have five this season, ahead of Sanyo Gutiérrez with three. We can forgive them…
The players who have had the most partners in 2025
The constant turnover of partners also marked 2025. Javi Garrido shared the court with nine different partners, Gerard Arnaldos with ten. But the record belongs to Diego Gil, who played with… fourteen partners in a single season. Building a team under those circumstances is difficult.
The women's circuit: between power and consistency
Among women, Gemma Triay dominates the ranking of winning remates with 620, ahead of Bea González (555) and Paula Josemaría (529).
But here again, the average per game tells a different story. Sofía Araújo leads the pack with 19,3 winners per game, just ahead of Bea González (19,08) and Carmen Goenaga (18,66).

Alix Collombon: top 3 in cleanliness
Triay also shines in a less visible area: consistency. She is the player who makes the fewest unforced errors with 7,81 per match, ahead of Marta Marrero (8,35) and our French player Alix Collombon (8,41).
Double faults: youth, but not only
Finally, regarding double faults, two young talents stand out: Martina Calvo and Carmen Goenaga, alongside a circuit veteran, Lucía Sainz. These statistics often reflect a desire to play fast, hard, sometimes too hard.
More than just numbers, an interpretation of the game
These statistics confirm it: top-level padel isn't just about winning smashes or clean play. Winning is about knowing how to pace yourself. Attacking when to, defending when necessary. And above all, finding that delicate balance that only the very best truly master.
