Premier Padel and the International Federation of Padel (FIP) have formalized several adjustments to the 2026 calendar of Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour , in a context marked by operational disruptions linked to the conflict in Iran.
Two tournaments are therefore changing categories for the 2026 season, with more prizes to be won. points in the world rankings and an increase in prize money for the players.
Le Pretoria P2 , scheduled from July 27 to August 2, is promoted to category P1 .
For its part, the Kuwait Premier Padel P1 , scheduled from October 26 to 31, officially becomes a Major .
These changes will only apply to the 2026 season. According to Premier Padel and the FIP The objective is to rebalance the calendar, both in terms of the distribution of financial gains and the allocation of points, while limiting the sporting impact for the players.
In their statement, the two bodies specify that these decisions were taken in consultation with the Steering Committees de Premier Padelcomposed of representatives from across the professional padel ecosystem. Discussions will continue at the next meeting scheduled for Rome, on the sidelines of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel 2026 , organized from June 1st to 7th.

Despite this delicate geopolitical context, Premier Padel highlights a particularly strong 2026 season in terms of both commercial success and popularity. The circuit claims to have broken attendance records at six tournaments already played this year: Riyadh Season P1 , Gijon P2 , Cancun P2 , Miami P1 , NEWGIZA P2 et Brussels P2 .
The CEO of Premier Padel David Sugden explains that these adjustments were made "with the players in mind first and foremost," with the aim of offering more points and financial rewards while limiting disruptions to the circuit.
The president of the FIP Luigi Carraro, for his part, believes that this calendar update "reflects a continued commitment to protecting the interests of the players while ensuring the stability and global development of professional padel".
As a reminder, season 2026 of Premier Padel currently includes 25 tournaments in 17 countries , including new stages in United Kingdom and South Africa The circuit also claims to be broadcast in more than 244 territories worldwide.
