Le  Premier Padel Newgiza P2  enters its decisive phase with  challenging semi-finals  in both men and women. In Egypt,  Franco Stupaczuk , already a two-time winner on this site, continues his quest for a  third title under the pyramids , while the main headliners were present in the women's draw.

The pair  Franco Stupaczuk / Mike Yanguas , seeded 2, secured his place in the semi-finals after a three-set victory against  Javi Garrido / Lucas Bergamini  (3/6 6/3 6/1).

After conceding the first set, the Argentinian and the Spaniard gradually took control of the match, imposing a higher pace to win authoritatively.

Tello/Alonso stop the Jensen/Hernandez surprise

In the semi-finals, Stupaczuk and Yanguas will face  Juan Tello / Edu Alonso (TS8) , who had to fight to get rid of  Enzo Jensen / Luis Hernandez  (6/4 2/6 6/4).

Having come through qualifying, Jensen and Hernandez made their mark this week by notably eliminating...  Juan Lebrón / Leo Augsburger , marking one of the tournament's surprises. Their run ended just short of the semi-finals, but remains one of the highlights of this  Newgiza P2 .

They will face in the semi-final  Coki Nieto / Jon Sanz (TS5) , winners of  Fran Guerrero / Paquito Navarro  (6/4 7/5), in a duel that promises to be particularly hard-fought.

On their side,  Ari Sanchez / Andrea Ustero  had to work harder to beat  Claudia Jensen / Tamara Icardo  (6/1 7/6), also securing their place in the final four.

Ortega / Calvo create a surprise

The biggest surprise came from  Marta Ortega / Martina Calvo who overturned the 4th seed  Claudia Fernandez / Sofia Araujo  in three sets (6/0 4/6 6/2).

A victory that propels them into the semi-finals against the  world number 1 , in a match that could reshuffle the cards.
