The first semi-final of the Riyadh P1 delivered a decisive performance. Facing Paquito Navarro and Fran Guerrero, Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán prevailed 6-1, 6-2 in less than an hour of play (58 minutes).

A clear statistical mastery

The figures confirm the visual impression left on the court. Galán and Chingotto won 64% of the points played, compared to 36% for their opponents. On serves, the gap is even more pronounced: 82% of points won behind the first serve and 70% behind the second.

On the return, the constant pressure exerted by the Spanish-Argentine pair made the difference. Navarro and Guerrero failed to convert any break points, while their opponents capitalized on their opportunities (33% conversion rate). The longest run of consecutive points (7) also illustrates the periods of dominance imposed by Galán and Chingotto.

a lesson in Paquito / Guerrero

A duo already solid at the start of this season

This qualification confirms the positive momentum of the duo. Despite the minor physical issues mentioned by Galán at the beginning of the year, the pair have displayed consistent cohesion and intensity right from this first major event of the 2026 season.

With this authoritative victory, Galán and Chingotto secure their place in the final of the Saudi tournament and send a clear signal to the competition.

For now, the identity of their opponents in the final remains pending: the result of the second semi-final will determine who will challenge the Spanish-Argentine duo for the first title of the season.
