The circuit  Premier Padel  officially opens its  2026 season  en  Saudi Arabia , specifically to  Riyadh After a particularly turbulent end to 2025, marked by numerous changes in partners, the players returned to competition with some lessons already to be learned. Between premature eliminations, quick matches, and expected confirmations, Tuesday was certainly eventful.

A complete overview of these round of 32 matches.

Leal/Sanz out, things are (still) difficult for Alfonso/Gutiérrez

After delighting the Marseille crowd at the Palais des Sports with his devastating smashes,  Javi leal  stops in Riyadh. Exceptionally associated with  Jon sanz , due to the late return of Pablo Cardona, the winner of the  FIP Platinum of Marseille  eliminated in the round of 32.

Facing them,  Manu Castaño  et  Inigo Jofre  They secured a landmark victory after an intense battle:  5/7, 7/5, 7/6 . At only  15 years Castaño reaches his first round of 16 on the circuit Premier Padel and a huge spotlight.

Another highly anticipated pairing, another disappointment:  Gonzalo Alfonso  et  Sanyo Gutiérrez The pair, who have partnered for the 2026 season, are still struggling to find their rhythm. Just a few days after their appearance in Marseille, where they were soundly beaten in the semi-finals by Leal/Guerrero (6-2, 6-3 in 52 minutes), they faced the qualifiers.  Ramiro Valenzuela  (85e) and  Javier Martinez  (70th), the Argentinians lose in three sets: 6/3, 6/7, 6/3.

A poor performance for the twelfth pair in the tournament, which already raises some questions, even if this first tournament of the season still calls for patience.

Chingotto / Galán already established, Augsburger / Lebrón in tune

The world's second pair  Fede Chingotto / Ale Galán  starts his 2026 season with a bang. 48 minutes on the court, no issues, and a clear 6-2, 6-2 victory against  Gonzalo Rubio  (44e) and  Javier Ruiz  (39th). A tournament off to a perfect start for “Chingalán”, who is already putting pressure on the number ones.

Because behind it,  Arturo Coello / Agustín Tapia  had to fight much harder against the French  Bastien Blanqué  et  Dylan Guichard Despite being beaten 3/6, 6/1, 6/2, the French team left with their heads held high after making the champions doubt themselves.

Also highly anticipated, the pair  Juan Lebrón / Leo Augsburger  This confirms the positive signs sent during preparation. After a somewhat lackluster end to the 2025 season, the two men have had time to build momentum. The result: a comfortable 6-1, 6-2 victory against the brothers.  Melendez , from the qualifiers. A flawless start for one of the most closely watched associations on the circuit.

 Other results in men

  •  Valentino Libaak / Alex Chozas  VS  López  /  San Martín  : 6/4, 6/4

No surprises in the women's race: Eugenio/Sainz come down from their high.

Following their unusual victory at the FIP Platinum in Marseille, marked by Alejandra Alonso's injury,  Lucia Sainz  et  Raquel Eugenio  are stopped in their tracks in Riyadh. Defeat in two sets against the 5th seed  Claudia Jensen / Tamara Icardo  : 6/3, 6/4.

For their part, the “Ale's”  Alejandra Salazar / Alejandra Alonso  got their tournament off to a perfect start. A clear 6/3, 6/1 victory against the Spanish-Argentine pair  Caparrós / Bidahorria A success all the more remarkable given that Alonso was making his surprising return after his serious ankle sprain in Marseille. A rapid comeback, much to the delight of the public… and of  Salazar .
