A new name has been added to the list of personalities seduced by the  paddle And not just any old ones:  Ronaldo Nazario The former Brazilian striker, a major figure in world football, is not content with just playing. He now wants to...  investing in and structuring padel in Brazil .

With the project  Galácticos Rackets Ronaldo has clear ambitions: to meet the strong demand and fill the lack of infrastructure in a country where sport is experiencing rapid growth.

A project structured around three axes

Conceived as a true ecosystem,  Galácticos Rackets  rests on three pillars.

The first: a  high-end private club limited in the number of members, mixing  racket sports wellness, catering and exclusive events.

The second:  Galácticos Arena , a concept focused on the  technology and accessibility with a digital platform allowing users to book, play and interact with a community. The objective is clear: to offer a complete experience, beyond just playing, through its own facilities and a franchise model.

Finally, a third, more  social , aimed at democratizing padel in several areas of  São Paulo ,  Rio de Janeiro  and other regions, notably through the rehabilitation of underutilized urban spaces.

100 plots of land and a first phase starting in 2026

The project includes the construction of  100 padel courts  and just as much tennis, with already  seven sites currently under development  in the southeast of the country. Two major clubs are expected to  São Paulo  et  Rio accompanied by several  Galácticos Arena  in strategic areas.

The initial investment is estimated at  25 million reais , with a phased rollout starting  end of 2026 and a planned ramp-up in  2027 .

Perfect timing in a booming market

This initiative comes at a very favorable time.  paddle  It's exploding in Brazil, driven by growing demand and a lack of infrastructure. The reduction in taxes on rackets in 2021 accelerated the phenomenon, making the country one of the most dynamic markets in the Americas.

Having been interested in the project for several years,  Ronaldo Nazario  now takes action with a clear vision:

“Brazil has a huge demand and not enough infrastructure. With Galácticos, we want to take tennis and padel to another level.”

A project to follow closely, which could well change the scale of the  Brazilian padel  In the coming years.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
