Things get serious at Rotterdam P2. This Friday, the quarterfinals will offer the first major clashes between seeded players, with several matchups already reminiscent of recent weeks on the circuit. Who will succeed Agustín Tapia/Arturo Coello and Gemma Triay/Delfi Brea, the defending champions in the Netherlands? Matches begin at 10:30 a.m. on the center court.

Fernández / Calvo kick off the day at 10:30 am

The day will begin with  Claudia Fernández / Martina Calvo (TS4) , finalists of the Paris Major, facing an unprecedented association:  Claudia Jensen / Claudia Escacena (TS8) .

Jensen is exceptionally playing with Escacena due to an injury to  Tamara Icardo A great opportunity for the young Spaniard to take advantage of this tournament to showcase her talent alongside a player already firmly established among the world's best.

The remake of the Paris Major quarter

Next up is a poster that we already know very well.  Marta Ortega / Sofia Araújo (TS5)  will find  Paula Josemaría / Bea González (TS2) .

Both pairs eliminated the last remaining French players in the round of 16. Ortega/Araújo beat  Léa Godallier / Daiara Valenzuela (6/3 7/5) , while Josemaría/González ended the run of Alix Collombon / Ksenia Sharifova (6/4 6/2) .

This quarter will primarily be a  remake of their confrontation at the Paris Major where Ortega/Araújo emerged victorious after a grueling battle lasting over three hours. Josemaría/González will therefore have the opportunity to avenge their earlier defeat in Rotterdam.

Di Nenno / Navarro against Momo / Campagnolo

The first men's quarter-final will then pit them against each other  Martín Di Nenno / Paquito Navarro (TS4)  à  Momo González / Lucas Campagnolo (TS8) .

Di Nenno and Navarro were particularly efficient in the round of 16 and will now face their first real test of the week against a Momo/Campagnolo pair capable of causing them much more trouble.

Libaak / Alfonso facing the Tapia / Coello challenge

The surprise of the men's draw will then try to continue his run.

Tino Libaak / Gonza Alfonso  have just been released  Javi Leal / Fran Guerrero , champions of the FIP Platinum tournament in Lyon, after a hard-fought three-set battle. Their reward? A quarter-final against the  world number 1 and defending champions, Agustín Tapia / Arturo Coello .

A particularly special match for both Argentinians. With the announcement of the Argentinian squad for the...  World's Championships Libaak and Alfonso will have a golden opportunity to prove themselves against the best pair in the world.

Triay/Brea continue their title defense

World number 1s  Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea  will then take to the track against  Alejandra Salazar / Aranzazu Osoro .

Defending champions in Rotterdam, Triay and Brea will try to continue their run to another semi-final. Their opponents, Salazar/Osoro, had to go through three sets in the round of 16 and come into the match with a particularly hard-fought game under their belts.

Galán / Chingotto – Stupaczuk / Sanz, the clash of the day

This is one of the biggest matches of these quarter-finals.

Ale Galán / Fede Chingotto (TS2)  will be opposed to  Franco Stupaczuk / Jon Sanz Finalists in Rotterdam last season, Chingotto and Galán will first seek to return to the semi-finals, but the path leads through a pair capable of taking down anyone.

Stupa and Sanz will therefore have a huge opportunity to play against the world's number 2 players.

Lebrón / Augsburger against Yanguas / Nieto

The last scheduled match on the main court will pit  Juan Lebrón / Leo Augsburger (TS3)  à  Mike Yanguas / Coki Nieto .

Another duel between two top pairs, with a clash of styles that promises much between the power of Lebrón / Augsburger and a Yanguas / Nieto pair who know each other perfectly.

Ustero/Sánchez on track 2

Finally, a women's quarter-final will be contested on the  Track 2 from 15:30 pm .

Ari Sánchez / Andrea Ustero (TS3)  will face Argentina  Virginia Riera / Julieta Bidahorria , one of the surprises of this Rotterdam P2.

Riera/Bidahorria were eliminated in the round of 16  Marina Guinart / Alejandra Alonso (TS6)  and will now try to take down a second seeded player to continue their journey in the Netherlands.

A particularly busy day of shifts, with  eight places in the semi-finals  to be taken and, this time, very little margin for error for the favorites.
